it's my pet hate, the amount of gum you see just spat out on the street, discusting. Please dispose of it in a bin, or wrap and take home in your pocket. As for suggestive title, carry on I say, gets your threads read, if they attract attention. Joy

I've always swallowed gum (not that I use it that often)....never had any ill effects! Your stomach acid is strong enough to dissolve it. Dee x

actually, I never minded mine chewing it, especially the sugar free variety after meals. They are aged 18to 34, and not one of them has ever had a filling or extractionso I assume gum chewing may have been beneficial.

Harry Report 25 Apr 2006 16:42

Stick it behind your collar or under the table like we older ones used to. Seriously, wouldn,t even consider swallowing it, although I have done it accidentally when younger, apparently without harm. Happy days

Alek Report 25 Apr 2006 16:34

as children we were told not to swallow it,but I believe it has different ingredients now.Old habits die hard, I always keep the silver paper in my pocket and spit it (very ladylike of course) into that.
