Went for a nap earlier, just woke up to find a bird walking across the hall...... took me 15 minutes but managed to get it out a window before madam spotted him..... I think they have had a to-do as there are a few feathers about and it did have an injured leg but at least it flew off and hopefully will be fine!! xx

Hi Diana, I would suspect Madam of bringing the bird in, in the first place. She really only wanted to play with it!!!!!!! Vivienne xx

Ah hope it didn't make you jump too much. I got divebombed in my very own lounge last week due to a cheeky chaffinch. Honestly all that space they have to fly about in and they chose our pokey little houses x Bet puss is smiling about its leg little rotter x

I suspect you are right and madam did bring it in but I didn't see her do it which is unusual..... it may explain why she was miaowing at the dressing room table yesterday!! Glad me found it alive tho, poor little thing was scared stupid!! xx

It always worries me that one will get in our house - we back onto woodland and when the weather's nice I leave the back door open so that the dogs can go in and out the garden as they please. Trouble is I'm terrified of birds and if one got in the house I don't know what I would do - probably go and beg the neighbour for help. lol When we lived in Devon a Pigeon flew into our lounge window, Hubby went out to see if it was ok (he's good with birds) and it ran under a Leylandi tree. He decided to send our Retriever under to fetch it and bless her little cotton socks she went in picked it up carefully in her mouth and dropped it at Hubby's feet! This is the dog that ran around the garden with a frog hanging out her mouth screaming once! Hopefully your little feathered friend will be ok now. Kaye x

It's brilliant Diana but I don't know if it is still in print. The copy I have is from 1973 but the library should be able to find a copy for you. The first chapter is about his life with cat's & his understanding of them & then there are poems written from a cat's perspective. The line I quoted about only wanting to play is from one of them. It will take me a while but I will type out one that I think is probably a good description of Clicquot. Vivienne xx

Confession by Paul Gallico I've been named Poosie, and I am spoiled Thouroughly, thouroughly spoiled, and I like it. And don't let anyone tell you different. I lie on the softest cushions, Under the downiest covers And love every moment. I get the cream off the top of the milk every day And special double thick on Sundays, And I lap it up. My owner is besotted. She hugs and kisses me And carries me around with her all day, And talks to me And I enjoy it. I'm spoiled rotten, and, friends, That's the life. Whatever I want, I cry for, Crab, lobster, caviar, fish roes, sardines, filet, whitemeat of chicken, You name it, She's got it, I get it. I don't want to work, or hunt. If ten snow white mice were to saunter past my nose, I wouldn't lift a paw. I'm greedy, graceless, shameless, lazy, And luxury loving. Everything that comes my way I take, And yell for more. I'm spoiled useless. I admit it. And I adore it. Vivienne xx

I was in my neighbours house one day, when her cat brought in a beautiful bluey, green budgie, poor thing was too far gone to save. Someone obviously lost their pet, I looked out for a' Lost 'message in our local paper, but none was put in. So sad. Sunny R

My two cats have a habit of bringing in starlings. Sami brought one in the other morning just before I was going to work. He ran straight upstairs and into my sons bedroom and went under the bed. I'm not very good with birds and as I was getting late for work I had to leave both cat and bird. When I returned home there on the doormat was this poor little bird,Sami was looking pleased as punch and my sons room well feathers everywhere. Now I wont let them out before I go to unless my son or daughter are at home. Lindax
