spent two nights looking after my mum (she broke her foot). 10:00 she decides she's going to bed ----okay get her snuggled in for the night ---- Deb goes to watch some tellie Deb ---Deb walks down hall ---yes mum---did you turn outside light on --- no mum will do it ---Deb goes back to watch tellie Deb ----Deb walks down hall -- yes mum --turn the stove light on---yes mum --- Deb returns to tv Deb ---back down all --yes mum ---- she's reading now --- look at this picture --- yes mum ---nice mum ----Deb returns to tellie Deb --- here we go again -- yes mum --- did you lock the door ---yes mum --- back to show --- missed half it now Deb --- walk walk walk,--- yes mum ---you don't have to go to bed just cause I am --- I know mum -- returns to couch & show Deb ---- good gawd --- what now mum --- Good night I'm going to sleep now. Debs turns tv off, turns lights off (except one over stove of course) and goes to bed Nite Mum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then the beggar got up and 5:30 and wanted her coffee. OMG I still have two hours to sleep. So who's willing to take the next shift. Come on peeps any volunteers.

Debs, I know, I know, I know......my mum can have her moments as well and often forgets that I am grown up! I'm 54 by the way! But I love her to bits and so glad she's still around - I need to sound off now and again but I don't mean it and I know it's same with you xxx

your right on Woody, I'll be 53 next month and have six siblings but always seems it's me that does the running for her so when sis stepped up I was relieved. Guess it's mostly cause I only live two blocks from mum and the rest are not as close in distance. Love my mum but sometimes she drives me bonkers. Really thought it was quite funny thou the way she was acting and made me realize just how she is ageing. Kind of a reality check for me thou as forget she is getting on in years.

Sorry Deb but I've been the night nurse for my nan - and she was a right b*gger - getting up in the middle of the ruddy night for a pee! she was on a zimmer because her broke leg getting out of bed for a pee. I'm done with babysitting adults!! give me sick kids anyday.
