General Chat

I really don't want to add to the aggro that's been happening on the General Board, but I have a genuine question to ask. I've been a member for about a year and I generally try to do my bit and mostly post on the tips or trying to find boards. I have had lots of help and very friendly responses from lovely people all over the world. I have also, very happily, been able to help other people. I have seen some wonderful threads on the General Board which have left me in hysterics.Of laughter, that is, just in case anyone misunderstands!!! What I don't understand is how anyone new or relatively new to the General Board can be expected to appreciate the convoluted politics of what is going on. I 'm sure I can't be the only person who's confused by seeing people named one day as bullies and the next day seeing their names appear as supporters of the bullied. I have no hidden motives. I just want a peaceful night and I'm worried because I don't know who to speak to. Can some reasonable person, also without a chip on their shoulder, please enlighten me?? Tell me who to be wary of?? Shy and worried Mog in a fog Who is now very worried that someone will be horrid. But will cope with it!!!

I have been here nearly 3 years and i am always confused.. :)) i tend t o just sit back and watch rather than get involved when i am not sure... or go and hide in the welcome Inn thread, or Hevs Corners... No arguments or rows allowed in there ... lovely and peacefulll and neutral ground. x

Hello Mog, most of the people on here are really nice so don't be scared to add to posts or make them yourself. Just be careful and try to avoid any threads that appear to be causing trouble. There are a small minority on here who seem to enjoy causing trouble, just try not to get drawn in.

Hi Mog :-) Em's offering some sensible advice there. Trust your instincts and try to avoid any thread that seems like it's going to cause trouble. As Em has already said Hevs corners and The Welcome Inn are both friendly threads where you'll be made to feel welcome. You're not too far from me. I live in St Helens :-) Juliexx

Oh Mog don't be scared off by the politics, most on the general board are nice peeps, just ignore the contentious threads and go to the ones that are for a laugh. My dad always said there are three topics you should avoid with peeps you don't know well, Religion, Politics and oh yea sex but I've always ignored his advise on that last topic. lol
