My son learned to play the guitar when he was a teenager and reckons Eric Clapton is the all time greatest. I loved Duane Eddy and Jet Harris, maybe they weren’t in the same league though. There are of course a host of classical guitarists who I guess should be recognised for their skills Anyone any favourites??

Keith you are a man of taste (or have you seen the size of my son and decided it's best not to disagree with him??) ;-))))) Gwen, if you like the Sax then you must get the CD I have. Called The Very Best of Sax Moods it is a double CD set and is brilliant. It is quoted as being an evocative collection, and is very relaxing Dee ;-)))

Gwynne I agree about Jimi Hendrix, he was legendry Lee Some names that I haven't come across there You ask where I get my inspiration from.. If it isn't a book that I have read, I usually find that I am chatting to someone about something and start wondering what other peoples opinions would be on the subject I have a pen and pad in the car, and am forever jotting down notes about things. Some because I want to do more research on them and find out more about them. Now I need to go find out more about Carlos Santana, I may have heard his music but the name rings no bells Dee ;-)))

Hi Anne Backing musicians never seem to get the recognition they deserve do they?? Which is a great pity really, as without them some singers would be quite lost (not that Billy Idol could ever come into that category) ;-)))

Fred, I had been thinking of drummers as well, Keith Moon has to have been the all time best, he was so talented, pity he, like a lot of other very talented musicians, died so young Dee ;-))))
