I have for some years used these for myself and dogs...but now run out.......after two or three weeks without them I can see my dog is troubled again..... I have not had the usual mail from the supplier and wrote to them..Health Express in Geurnsey.....but my letter returned as not at the PO Box no.............possibly now out of business. You can get Glucasomine from any health food shop. My dogs have always been OK on theirs . As for the other things I am not sure about I would ask at the health shop they may have them or something the same. Germaine x

Hello Jess, Long time no see... I did try google before I put up this thread....but I don't want trouble....................not clear in my thread details but I used to get loads of junk mail when I bought small quantities and I sent a large order to Health Express.since then Ihave not had much bumph......... Went on line via google and there are suppliers but they are selling the more expensive high dosage stuff................I was wondering if there are any other mail order firms reg in the Channell Islands sending out their catalogues....or even Tesco's Thanks again Jess for all the help you gave me with your birthday or Christmas present Cheers Colin

My Mum recommended them for me to get for hubby. She gave me a magazine and this is the web address from it www.healthydirect*co.uk (replace * with .)

Colin Report 5 Sep 2006 16:35

Thanks Jeaneete, Just been on various web sites and found Healthy Direct...looks OK....................I am discovering that the ones I had from Health Express were very low dosage......and that may account for their low price..................there is also a Woods so I may be sorted....will have to cut the tablets in half..... I live in a little Welsh place andwe do not have a large variety of shops,so mail order is the favourite Cheers Colin

My mum uses the glucosamine and chondroitin. She used to buy hers mail order but found it was quite expensive. I'll see if she can remember where she got them from. She now gets hers on prescription which, as a pensioner, she doesn't have to pay for. Lorrainex

Sorry, Colin, my mum can't remember the name of the supplier but she also got hers from Guernsey. She had a leaflet the other week but got rid of it as she's getting them from our doc. Lorrainex

I get mine from Holland & Barrett, but they are a bit pricey. Mind you, I have the high strength ones.

Thanks Christine..............decided that Becky needed them now so have been to the supermarket..............bit expensive and over the usual dosage but will do until the supply from Channel Ilse arrives........... Another question I have another 14 year old border collie who has a growth on her rear leg...around the lower part...............went to the vet some months back and was told that there is nothing they can do......it will grow and unless she bites it to open a wound it should be OK......It has grown and now it has reached her paw....last night she started to avoid putting the foot down...................deaf but still happy...Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of this...........I will be taking her to the vets on Monday

Actually Colin, we gave the same products to horses for joint problems and general athritis with good results, and you can buy it at any suppliers of horse feeds and dog feeds around here. Perhaps you would need advice in adjusting the dose for your dog......an animal feed supplier would be your best bet, just google for your area......
