Just wondering as I am but have never seen anyone from GR on it. Maybe you all use different names?? NO you don't have to tell me your name on Rootschat, just wondered. Betty

YES, BETTY, I AM ON ROOTSCHAT. FOR THE GENEALOGY, HAVEN'T USED THEIR CHAT FACILITIES. THE HELP I HAVE RECEIVED THERE IS UNBELIEVABLE, MY PROGRESS, IS ALL DUE TO THEM. WITHOUT THEIR HELP, MY OH WOULD NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIS ANCESTORS, OR THAT THERE IS A BOOK WRITTEN ABOUT THEM, WHICH HE HAD FOR CHRISTMAS. PIPS, DBE XX

ON THE 23rD DEC., I HAD A MESSAGE FROM THE MODERATOR, TELLING ME, THERE WAS SOMEONE ON THE BOARD, LOOKING FOR ME. TURNS OUT, SHE WAS A COUSIN. THE MEMBER WHO HAD BEEN HELPING HER, HAD HELPED ME, WITH THE SAME FAMILY MEMBER AND TOLD MY COUSIN ABOUT ME. IT IS A BRILLIANT SITE, KEEP LOOKING ON THERE. PIPS XX

I have had some fantastic help on there, from a lot of people but one in particular. I often feel guilty asking for lookups but have been told not to as they enjoy doing it. I always ask politely and make sure I thank them afterwards. Have found out a lot in the technical help too just by reading the questions asked. Christine in Portugal

Hi there Rootschat has been wonderful to me and helped me find long lost relatives and a guy in NZ even went to library and found some amazing info for me and lots more. Everyone is so helpful I cant thank them enough. I find this site useful too as some people dont use rootschat or dont know about it. Happy New Year Gay

they hav been brilliant to me even to finding my g/gran who i couldnt find from 1871 was living with a man from 1876 to 1909 when she married him

Hi Betty, I chat away to peeps on Rootschat, its unbelievably quick in the chat room....same as Meercat, when I first went on - legged it out, overwhelming! LOL I haven't achieved any research on there though, too busy chatting. Tina x

I have had loads of help from there don't go in chat much as it is fast ....meercat lol I legged it 1st time as well.....exit stage left /right just get me out !!!!!

Only joined the site a few months ago and boy is it fast! A million peeps coming at you from all directions-LOL....I haven't really been back for a while but I imagine that you can get lots of help on there as it seems like a very friendly place.

Same here Meercat........lol I use the same name thou, but haven't been on it for ages, but when I did, I got some great help re my irish side although it didn't knock down any brick walls. Great people on there so I really dont know why I dont log on more oftern. Suzy :o) x
