We have mice..well we did have one till we caught it in a trap. They give me the creeps, so they got to go. I just wondered if anyone had one of the ultrasonic pest control thing's you plug in,and does it work? I do have a cat so bang goes the theory that mice can smell cat's so wont go in your house. cheers Marion |

Hi Marion, ive just bought one of the ultrasonic thingies, but ive not tried it yet cos my meeces are in the shed and I havent got power out there yet!! littles darlings ate a big hole in the swing cushions and had a ball with the wild bird food bag. I will probably have giant sun flowers going through the shed roof lol. and theyve got a nest in my sons tool box. Kate |

Hi Kate So I am not the only one with meeces lol. There are a few of the ultrasonic thing's advertised. They say it keeps beasties away too. I dont mind the beasties/spiders...just mice. They say there are going to be a lot more mice/rats around and they will be going 'in' for the winter. Marion |

I had a plug-in thingy but it did no good even though the assistant in Robert Dyas swore by them. What sort of price has people paid for them on here? Maybe mine is not dear enough. |

We live in a very old house in the country and bought lots from QVC and think they are worth the money, careful with some if you have pets. The french throw cheap moth balls in their loft space or anywhere bothered by mice and we do that as well. xx Jill |

Hazel, the local french all use them,I throw them in the roof space as we have sloping roof. We get the odd mouse try to come in but we are surrounded by fields and livestock so expect a few but very seldom have any problem. xxJill |

lol - have visions of meeces with headaches (from the flung mothballs finding their targets!) 'OK boys - lets go - she's too good an aim!' Jac ps Ihave heard that the ultrasonic thingies work, but only if they are in the house (ie not in the floor space or roof space where there is unlikely to be power points into which to plug the devices). good luck with the decimation - all rodens should be destroyed! marion what you need is one hungry fox, tis true , i have the knoledge. you see every week i put out a mouse trap near my shed and every couple of days go and check it , it would be gone. hey id say to my oh we have very strong mice if they can still run with a trap on their tails. this went on for 7weeks,till one night i could not sleep so sat on the step chilling ( as you do) at 2 in the morning ,i heard a click and thought thats the trap, within seconds along came the fox across the hedge jumped down to the grass along to the shed picked up the mouse and trap and over the fence he went . heres me thinking i was going mad ? dawn x |
