I attend the University of Life and I got my Grandma's degree in March 1993. After upgrades in 1997, 1998, and 1999 I (hopefully) will have a further grade added in 3 weeks time! Sue xx |

I went to King Alfred's College (now Winchester University) at the age of 40, with 4 GCE's, 1 GCSE and two teenage daughters!! Came out at 43 with a 2:2 in Education and Religious studies (seperate modules). Not been able to use them to get a job though!! I'm also not qualified enough(?) to do what I used to do - Learning Support Assistant, as I haven't got an NVQ - despite the fact that the NVQ is just small parts of the Education degree - mad isn't it!!! maggie |

I would think you have seen her around Ladybird, she has only very recently changed departments, so you may have even spoken with her!!! Do you know a Carly, has a little girl, pregnant now, got married last April? That is my girl!! Sorry Bendy Wendy, is kind of Uni related!! I'm not sure I have the brain cells left now though Ladybird, or the confidence, all that studying. What will oh do....grumble I'm not spending time with him! lol Nanna-Moo ;-)) |

Everyone I know who's been to university has ended up with a job totally unrelated to their degree. I think university education is vastly over-rated - common sense is a much more useful attribute ! |
