	OH has just gone off to do the shopping (he has his uses and it makes a little outing for him!) so i suggested he get some boo-boos because the jar was getting a bit low. He had no idea of what a boo-boo was! What sort of upbringing did the man have!?

	Never heard of them... Are you sure that wasn't a name just local to your part of the world? I have a vague recollection from childhood of a special name for small fruit pastille style sugar-covered domed jelly sweets,....but it wasn't boo-boos.

	To us, a boo boo has always meant a slip-up, a mistake. Not to be confused with boobies! ;-)

	The boo-boos Grandad liked were boos eyes. Frank from up the road had a tin of travel sweets fall off the roof of his car as he went by . He got out and pretended to cry because he had lost his boo-boos so it must have been local to his house as well.

	I think sweets being called boo-boos is probably derived from an archaic name for them being joo-jubes.
