May I resurrect this thread to say how pleased I am that this wonderful man will now be known as Captain SIR Tom Moore?

Most people will know how much I don't believe in many of these honours being handed out to anyone and everyone for piffling little reasons but in this instance it is a well-deserved honour.

Many many congratulations Captain Sir Tom. :-)

Thankyou Joy/Louise. I also don't agree with alot of the Honours but he was such an inspiration to the Country & inspired lots of others of all ages. He well desreves his title. will amend my title,

PS I do hope he gets to meet The Queen in person for his Honour.
