Sheila - again, another question which one has to look at personally.

C. S. Lewis puts it rather well, in my own personal view.

'You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.'

In Christian theological terms, human beings are the only ones who have a soul.

There are mixed views within the Christian church on the re-incarnation issue :-S

It's often helpful for folks to delve into such issues a little deeper, just to see where they stand on things.

Hope this helps. Cx :-)

How about if you go on and on but just get put into a different container each time.

Like you still have the same intelligence but you can only use what your container allows.

A woodlouse could be as intelligent as you, and almost certainly as intelligent as me, but doesn't have hands or vocal cords so can only scuttle about and eat rotting wood.

'How about if......', is a sentiment we could use on almost any situation or issue though Sharron.

IF is a little word with huge implications and is really based on assumptions and suppositions - perhaps, maybe etc.

There are so many situations we could visualise or imagine but, it's best to take a deeper look into things, follow your heart and see where it leads you. :-)

The language may not be of the best but what do you think of the concept?

Well I'm counting on there being something more after death, and if I'm honest this kept me going after my husband died.

A few things have happened to me, nothing major, that have also helped to convince me that death is only the end of life as we know it and there is more that we are not clear about.

I can't honestly say it's a concept I have given much thought to Sharron, possibly because I believe that we are all a 'one off' - and unique to boot!! :-D

Christianity as a faith does tend to reject the thoughts of re-incarnation for various reasons, but there are always people who will question things - which is fair enough. That's how we learn.

In a way, re-incarnation makes me think of someone being re-cycled and, personally, I think we are worth more 'individual' than that.

I remember someone once saying that, if there is nothing after death, what is the point of life?

What brought all this on anyway.? ........ ;-)

Unless your ashes are rocketed into space we all return to the soil to join everyone who has lived before us.
If you believe in evolution then you are returning to the place from which living creatures evolved.
What I do find fascinating is that we were carried inside our maternal grand mothers.

I've read about that Von - amazing thought isn't it? So much we don't know - so much more to discover. :-)
