But my goodness it is very windy, all the rose petals are covering the lawn like so much confetti. Still it is warm and dry and we are used to the wind as at times it was 30-40 in Lanzarote over the weekend before last. The advantage of that is watching the windsurfers battling the huge waves, very invigorating. Sooo back to the garden, just been to the garden centre and got two patio roses for the price of one with our members card, very pretty they are too so off to sort them out now. :-) :-) |

Very, very hot with clear blue skies here and just a little breeze. Six rose bushes and only one or two buds between them at the moment |

TS but you had your roses out in May so they need a rest now. Had to come in for a rest, did three quarters of an hour weeding but it is so hot out there when weeding! got side tracked in the hosta bed and among the grasses in pots, got told off for lifting a pot!!! :-D Trouble is, the garden bin is now full and it is another week before it is emptied so I see a trip to the dump coming up. |

Hello everyone. Only my second year of rose growing and it is so exciting watching them. They are all climbers, all smell like roses should, and vary from peach to pale pink. Compassion, Aloha, and Zephrin Douhrin if you dont mind :-D I cluck over them like they were babies and when one got mildew I was devastated! But, with the help of the Roseman (Merlin) I think I have beaten it. They are all in containers as only have a patio. |

AnninGlos - I know what you mean about about the huge waves in Lanzarote! They are mesmerising! I tried for age to photograph them when I was there, but could never capture them at their best! :-D |

Lol Wisechild, I suppose being an Island it would be windy like Lanzarote. The good thing is that it blows the clouds away. |
