Can anyone top this for a daft purchase?

The other day I saw in a second hand shop two rollators one with a seat and another lighter 3 wheeled one.....both were as brand new and after a bit of haggling I bought them for £15......For the time I may possibly need them.......Now I am nowhere near old :-D but could not resist, just in case.......Yes I know I should have left them for someone who may need them but the shop always gets given them so I looked to the future :-D

Why would I need 'one' Maggie?.......actually I couldn't make my mind up which one I liked best.:-D .......as I said......It was a daft purchase........has anyone else ever made a daft purchase?

One has a seat and is for outdoor use the other can be used outside but is very light and can be used indoors

You will need the more robust one Errol....plus it has plenty of room under the seat for beer bottles :-D

I've made many an 'interesting' purchase.(though never 2 rollators :-D )
Mine tend to be in charity shops, IKEA or Poundland. Just today, I bought a tiny chopping board (6" x 4") in Poundland. Nowhere to put it, but it'll be easier to wash than a big one.

Over a number of months/years, I bought some really grotesque Oriental puppets from charity shops. I have to hide them away, in case they scare the grandchildren :-S

I also buy naff religious icons, (and encourage relations to buy them for me) but daren't put them on display in case visitors think they're serious! Has anyone else got a nasty cheap blue plastic clock with a picture of Jesus on the clock face?

Ooooooo......I collect puppets too. My children and Grandchildren think I am nuts with all the voices I put on......Not a lip is moved....I kid you not.....mind you.....I use the dogs as puppets too.....I am always answering for them in a silly voice :-D

hmmmmm now even I of the silly voices and rollators would never go so far as to buy a clock of that description......Methinks you may have won :-D

Susan wiv - I don't USE the puppets - they're realy horrible.
If I have time tomorrow, I'll take a pic of the african one and use it as my Avatar. It's scary. The clock is't useless - put a battery in and it works!
I've also got 2 glow in the dark Fatima's (Portuguese Mary's). Cos you always need to know where she is :-D

I really missed out when my sister moved to Ireland. She and BIL bought a 2 room ( that's room not bedroom, and they had 2 children) 'place' at auction. No water, no electricity except for 1 electric socket (deemed unsafe by the electricity board). This socket held the plug for a light up crucified Jesus that was sat on the mantlepiece.

I hadn't found my lust for collecting these fascinating artifacts then.

Now, I'd like nothing better than a light up Jesus that could kill you :-D

...but I wouldn't have bought it.....

Hmmm.....seems a lot like me Sharron......Not long ago I bought a pair of women's Victorian heeled shoes......Why?.....don't ask!....I sit here now looking at them, asking myself what on earth Was I thinking of....I can't wear them!

My 22yr daughter loves a bargain and buys anything at knock down prices.
She used to have a walk in wardrobe but it's now a look in wardrobe becauseof the amount of stuff it contains
On a recent clearout ( emptied and all put back in again) she unearthed a cheapo tent, and an inflatable dinghy, complete with oars!

I put in some artichoke plants last year because they were on sale in Aldi.

They have all died too.
