I thought they were in trouble some time ago. Some of the shops closed.

to be honest I'm not surprised they are going under - if the Cardiff store is anything to go by the staff do not know their products at all - my friend bought a large package from them - blueray DVD, plasma TV - the works - we visited the store so many times because of their cock ups and misinformation that they knew us by name as soon as we walked in - Curry's on the other hand is fantastic - their staff know what they are talking about and their service is second to none

Same here Ann. Our Comet store is shocking. Never any staff to ask for help, they are all outside the door, having a fag!

I agree Ann I have never liked comet and their goods on the other hand my brother always shops there, so I surpose it depends its if you have had problems with them.

This is what happens when companies are taken over by private equity companies,they take what they can then get out. this one (optcapita) used to own MFI Or ( MADE FOR IDIOTS) The same thing happened to that firm,it went bust,but the Equity Company didnt. :-( another one to watch out for is ( B**ts) one of those lot own it,and the standards are slipping. :-(

Advertising would be if any of these stores were selling something really cheap and I came on here and told everyone about it.
