I feel for the family, although as Sue says she is a little odd. But I really do think that it was the Dingo, especially as somebody (Rita I think) said that now we know foxes will try and take a baby. I think this latest is to get the death certificate changed to give the correct cause of death.

Having read the link it certainly points towards the dingo. Shame the forensics weren't available then that we have now ..so many of the anomalies could've been easily ironed out.

What confuses me is ...had dingo's become more aggressive.?...it seems there are plenty of recent reports...but not as many before Azaria went missing? Or maybe I just can't find them...not so much available online with things pre internet

It just seems odd that it was considered unheard of at the time of her disappearance .then suddenly it's not...and is more common x

If you cant tell the difference between a boy goat and a girl goat Joy, watch out!

Partly true story actually-

Yes, I was in the movie.

Genuine question....

Did they ever send in the cadaver/blood dogs to see if they scented anything in the area in which the poor little one went missing? x

Hi Stray :-) Lindy and Michael Chamberlain were pardoned so they are legally innocent. A missing tourist was found in a dingo lair and that is where they found Azaria's little jacket. It supported Lindy's story about a dingo. However it changed their lives forever. They were divorced and Lindy missed a good deal of her children's lives.

morning Sue, its nice to get your veiw, being from that country x

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 24 Feb 2012 20:59

It was a dingo. The media caused a great deal of trouble over this case in the '80's. The clothing found later was ripped and did have some blood stains. The bloodstains supposedly found in the car wasn't blood but a protective spray coating on the leather of the dashboard. They came across as cold and they are members of the Seventh Day Adventists so were seen to be 'strange'. All this was put into the minds of the public. Lindy Chamberlain is a rather odd woman even now but I don't believe she killed her baby.

I've seen one of my own dogs take a knitted cardigan off a baby sized doll, without even tearing it noticeably, border collie lol.

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 24 Feb 2012 19:23
