Had a colonoscopy & ultra sound in July in a tiny hospital here in Spain.
Was told to rest for half an hour afterwards while I waited for the doctor to come with the results & was given breakfast while I waited!!!!
All over & done with in less than 3 hours from start to finish & I was able to go home very relieved.
I had only waited 10 days for the appointment.
Really pleased for you Goldengirl.

That's a bit of a wait Gwen, your doc needs to get those tests hurried up for you.

I am glad your results were good Emma.

I got my bowel cancer test results back and they were clear, thank heavens. Been told I won't get any more smear tests as I will be 65 this year but will ask my doc to do one or go to the Family Planning place and ask them to do one. I would rather be safe than sorry.

Marion, that was good service, and breakfast thrown in too, really impressive.

I have been watching Benidorm ER and the hospital there looks really efficient and the staff very caring and friendly.

They certainly are Liz, and all for free on the Spanish NHS. Makes the English one look rubbish.
Hubby has developed a chest infection & went to the local chemist yesterday afternoon, as no doctors available other than for emergencies.
The chemist gave him antibiotics (which are only available on prescription) & told him to get a prescription from the doctor on Monday & take it to them, just to keep their records straight. I was gobsmacked to say the least of it.
Spain may be on it´s knees financially, but they certainly make sure their priorities are right.
