My o.h. is fairly self sufficient altho got out of the habit of cooking for himself since I moved in, he would not go hungry if I wasn't here but wouldn't eat properly for his diabetes problems etc He manages his own finances and I do mine, but I often have to jog his memory about things, such as what is this cheque I have written out for x amount so I look and figure out it's the window cleaner or dentist etc |

Both us know all about our finances and as to wills they were updated. People sometimes forget to do this and circumstances do change. I would be worried about the no will. Does he even realise what hassle this will cause? Power of Attorney should also be considered when updating/making will. |

I think thats what is called being PC. :-D. Re power of Attorney,Its a good Idea,However, ensure you have a built in safeguard,People have been ripped off before now by not doing so.(Including Family) As I know from what my Sister did to our Mother.**M**. :-S |

Power of attorney is much more expensive to do now too. we keep putting that off. We do both have wills and also knowledge of each others banking arrangements, although we have a main joint account we both have our own accounts and own ISAs as well. |

Well I think the thread deviated a bit cos we seem to have OH who leave us to do the technical bits and either dont want to or cant be trusted to do the PC and other devices ,unless its being in charge of the remote !!lol |

Women are probably much better than us men on the computer seeing as most of them are on the blinking thing most of the day, you only have to look on here to see how many women are on all day ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) |
