In our local paper today, four people have been fined at court for illegal use of a blue badge. Here is hoping they catch more. |

Glad to see it - apparently in London areas these are worth nearly £1000 street value. |

We have never claimed one as we would not have the use for it. I think we could have a dedicated parking space as well but have never seen the need for that either. |

Personally I'd tie both their legs together, disable one arm and blindfold them all for a month! |

Our mate has one. We take him out more often than we otherwise would. |

Near where I live it is a regular occurrence for the disabled person to remain in the car whilst the able bodied one jogs into the shop. They don't see it as doing anything wrong. |

I suppose if we see the disabled person staying in the car while able bodied person runs into shop, we have no way of knowing if the previous stop was clinic or hospital where disabled person did get out of car. But in the case Bob cites that is illegal use of the badge, and selfish. |

Abuse of the badge is seen in a lot of car parks .folks with young children use them instead of just going a bit futher down to use child & parent bay . |
