Is it me then? I didn't warm to it so after about 20 minutes or so I turned it off. Had no preconcieved ideas for what it would be like but I was a bit bored. Jill

Izzy Report 13 Sep 2011 21:23

me too jillian, i found it a bit boring, couldn't understand why they didn't check the death records first for the Schofield case. seems obvious starting point to me.

Treehunter

Treehunter Report 13 Sep 2011 21:35

Yes i was thinking that. It wasnt that good but better most of whats on tv at the mo.

well so much for the " acting expert",,,,not that interesting, not convincing enough that events took place as it happened,,,,,,,a stranger alibit tv personallity !asks to meet you and you go without questions why !!,nah.........

JustDinosaurJill

JustDinosaurJill Report 13 Sep 2011 23:04

Phew. Thought it was me. And as you say Izzy, not checking the death records as a starting point....

The portion of the programme I watched just didn't feel right to me in so many ways including the apparent door-stepping and everyone appearing to be so happy to do a piece to camera. If someone knocked on my door they'd get nowhere. Maybe I should make a fancy camera out of cardboard, paint it with metal paint, get a mate to 'work' it, stick some fur fabric on a Fairy Liquid bottle and shove it on a peice of broom handle to make a microphone and knock on a few doors just to see how eager people are to give me any information I ask for. Ok so I'm a bit too cynical but....

I'd wondered if this would be an attempt to recreate Heir Hunters in another guise but if that is what the makers of the prog were trying to do, they didn't manage it. Jill

I was hoping they put heir hunters on at night as much better then some of the programmes that are on about this.

It wasnt too bad at the start. But having Nick Barratt on it was thinking they going to show how to find people.

Cassidy

Cassidy Report 14 Sep 2011 00:34

Boring show...same old formula.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 14 Sep 2011 09:26

Yes Bob she remarried,,,so no death whats the next possible logic thinking ,,,,,,,,,have a look to see if they remarried and any possible children from a 1st and 2nd marriage.

Janet

Janet Report 14 Sep 2011 10:48

Bobtanian...I heard them say that she had remarried .......so yes you are right - think the difference with this program and Heir hunters is that they start at the very end of someone's life whereas this program carries on from the last known address and moves toward the present day.Slightly different. -jl
