I must have missed the bit about remarrying Bobtanian. Mentally I had switched off long before I hit the off button but I don't remember them doing much checking at all. Seemed to me they were talking about how to find people using information 'free' in the public domain. Maybe that's why I thought it was all so slipshod. Perhaps the fact that I can remember very little of the programme just twenty-four hours later is a blessing.

Bring back HeirHunters.

first an introduction I am Neil Fraser from Fraser and Fraser (Heir Hunters)

now that is out the way, some quick facts.

"Missing Milions" and "Heir Hunters" are both made by Flame TV infact they have a lot of the same production staff. explaines the simularity.

Fraser and Fraser helped with the pilot of the "Missing Millions" program (dont know if it will be shown at a later date) we never did interviews or bits to camera for them just the background geneology.

We are not happy about what the program is trying to do espeshaly as they are using Nick Barret, who runs his own firm of researchers, and if he did the research on this it dosnt look great. Although not finding a recent death is easy not many people have deaths 2005 even fewer post 2007.

Heir Hunters is currently being addapted to a prime time spot BBC2 I think an probably before Christmas, I know I am filming next week if all goes to plan. it will be some of the last series (HH5) and some of the next HH6 that is in the can but probably wont be shown until the new year. The Heir Hunters Extra as it is currently called (its name will change) is an 1 hour program taken from the original 45 min daytime program hence the Extra.

We have been asked to do HH7 but at the moment it is looking very unlikly as flame are now working with Nick Barret. May work with one of the other production firms who call us.

Neil

Probably better to be a Heir Hunter than an English Teacher ;-)

genealogy, especially

Missing Millions was not a great programme whoever produced it. A lot of the members on this site could have done a better job at the research.

An interesting post from you Neil. I really do hope that we get more HH. You say that you probably won't be doing a seventh series (a real shame) because Flame are now working with NB. I presume that you are happy to be involved with the programme alongside Celtic Research for instance.

Produced by the same company or not, because there was absolutely no style or quality, this was nowhere near HH in production quality or interest. I watch and enjoy HH tremendously and I know I'm going to learn something from it but I won't be watching MM again.

And as VIVinHERTS says 'A lot of members on this site could have done a better job at the research'

I bet we could have made it seem a lot more educational and interesting too.
