I agree that the book is better but the film was good, too. It would be great if there was time to read all the books we wanted to read!
There could be another thread of books we wished we had read!

I have recorded it to watch later - couldn't face it last evening. I have wanted to see the film or read the book for ages, but so many others to get through.

with books you get your own images in your mind's eye and then when you watch the film sometimes it's a letdown....

i prefer books to the films..even though i must admit lord of the rings was fantastic!

a very powerful fim....i watched it a couple of months ago with family..i really tried to be brave and not cry but my throat hurt so much with holding back i had to let go..and totaly sobbed my heart out.
it really makes you think of what happened during ww2. and .how can another human being be so evil...i hope H and his sick friends are burning in hell.
