Elizabeth Taylor's did, that is definite, and I am pretty certain that many other stars did as well... even MJ to be fair. I knew about the risk of becoming addicted to them, but if you need them for long term pain, then you need them, addiction or not.

I have a severe allergy to aspirin, which means that aspirin, Ibuprufen based pills, and NSAIDS are out, which is a shame, as I am sure that this would be much more manageable even at it's worst with a mix of paracetamol/dihydrocodiene and Ibuprufen, which is why I have the steroids every couple of months, the effect is quite dramatic.

I take Paramol (a codeine/dihydrocodeine mix slightly weaker than Co Codrydamol) every day, usually twice, even on a good day. Unless I know I am going to have a glass of wine or three... then I stick to paracetamol. To be honest, the lure of the alcohol these days is not as strong as the lure of pain relief, lol... so I tend only to have a drink on my *really good* days.
