Will I be pleased when the soccer comes to an end! We have nothing else on radio and TV, and normal programmes will not be aired because of the soccer. Everywhere you look there is soccer paraphenalia, and don't talk about those noisy instruments called vuvuzelas, they make the most discordant noise . In my opinion it is all a big waste of money which could have been put to better use. I could go on but that's enough!!!!

Can't be doing with football, fortunately OH isn't bothered either.

Saw last night that one of the ITV freeview channels is doing a season of lady detectives, so that may keep me busy.

Plus we'll be on holiday for part of it.

I most definitely will not disappear when the football, and then the tennis appears on our screens. Even the OH, a life long football fan and player himself, is not unduly bothered about it. In fact when Saturday night's match is on, he has booked for us to go out for a meal.
He will probably tune in at the semi final stage and then the final, but otherwise, not really. However, having said all of that, the alternatives on other channels are appalling, according to next week's issues of the Radio Times. And that is just the beginning of it all.

I too agree with Mick, and luckily cause of time diffs the games play at like 1am here so I won't miss a thing. One of the free to air channels is busy advertising that they are going to be bringing full Wimbledon coverage (delayed) to our screens, groan (lol).
