It's so easy to record on S*y too Jane, ......but also so equally easy to delete!!! Marilyn Munro is one of the films OH wants to see, I wasn't sure about it myself either, but it sounded better than the one called Baseball he wants to see. Let me know whether you like it. As you say it will at least be a distraction for you!! It doesn't sound as if there will be a happy ending there at the moment!! :-S :-S Things can go downhill fast when a marriage is in trouble.

Here I am.
Thanks for the card Shirl and what a lovely one. I have never seen one like that before in a Christmas Card. I did make cards a couple of years ago and made some with bookmarks on that you could take off and keep.
Gibbs mentadent I think was the toothpaste in the round tins. I used to have the red one but there was also blue and green tins. We still have Euthymol tooth powder in a plastic box but you can now get it in mint as well as the other one.
My advice to all those with bad backs is to put a hot water bottle on them. I go to bed each night with a microwavable bunny on my knees and they have been much better since I have been doing it. Mind you if I should dare to leave bunny in bed, when I go in the bedroom next time she is either there shut in a draw by her head with her body hanging out or hanging by a piece of string by the neck tied in the shower or some such funny thing oh has thought up. I have to remember to hide her now during the day.
As for pears soap..... it is just not the same anymore. I always used to buy it but now it is much thinner and lighter in colour and dos'nt last as long as it used to. The smell is not quite the same either. Why do they have to change things????? :-|

Because Mel, years ago things were made to last, now in the interest of 'turnover' things are just made in an inferior way and therefore wear out much more quickly. Emery Boards are another example of things not lasting very long whereas years ago one would last for ages!

Mandy ,it sounds like we had the same deal as you for Sk*.I think we just increase the payment by £5 for 6 months (or something).I don't know exactly ,but thought it was a jolly good deal.I feel we have come out of the dark ages lolol. I have a very painful finger.Something called a Heberden Node(with a synovial cyst).Sounds horrible doesn't it :-S.It isn't nice. It's a big lump on the joint just below my finger nail on the middle finger of my right hand.I keep banging it :-S Apparently it's associated with Osteoparosis :-S :-S :-S.Anyone else has this?I'm getting old :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

That Coal tar soap was made by Wright's. There was Imperial leather. with the sticker on one side, that never came off till the soap was used up, or you picked of the label
We had Sk# HD fitted last year. The picture is so much better. Jane do you have to go to chanel 103 to get Anglia news. ??? We only get Meridian if we stay on 178. It was £10.00 extra a month, but worth it.
STOP PRESS Jessic is out of Jungle tonight.

Hello everyone,
Been a very windy day here, doors slamming and chairs blowing over outside. Now it looks really dull, temp. was 28, but it didn't feel like it.
My first Christmas card today. Thank you Shirl, loved those red tartan pj's and your tree looked wonderful.
Frank puss has been hiding in the garage and now she is in the wardrobe. Hasn't eaten today, although I put the treatment on her 2 days ago up on the neck where she can't lick at it. It's not very good only lasts about 4-5 days and then she has baby fleas back. It is the same with everything I use on them. I really don't think she is well, can't put her current condition down to this flea stuff. Her eyes are half open and she is very thin.
Ann looking forward to seeing a picture of that bracelet - sounds lovely. You will have such a collection by the time you are finished. Hope your back is improved today and you had a decent sleep.
Jane that finger sounds very painful. Any more news on the young ones in Dubai? I have a bottle of Calamine Lotion in my cupboard. It is very pale pink and goes off very quickly. I remember really liking the Pears Shampoo and always used it in the 70s, but it seemed to be watered down and I had to change brands after a few years.
Sheila I have never had Christmas on the beach, only at a caravan park in Victoria once. We have spent the last two Christmas Days at a friend's house. This year will be just us at home. Dad always insisted on the full traditional lunch and we always had duck. A little rich, but I always liked it. These days we tend to buy prawns and have a turkey and pork. My nan and pop (godparents) would visit and bring the pink champagne with them. We had some fun times.
Mel how are the girls laying well?
I must have a shower, need to wash my hair just in case I have to go anywhere :-S I have the pain back and have not felt too good today. Better get on with it and wish you all a good day.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Well it is blowing a gale out there again. I was woken in the night by the blimmin telly ariel creaking and growning away. Fell off to sleep again and woke later with it still doing the same thing.
Kim my girls are fine and I am still getting about 8 eggs a day. We had omlettes last night. I had a three egg one and oh had a 4 egg one with cheese. Homemade soup too with a nice lot of vermicelli in and strawberry trifle with fresh strawberries to finish off.
Glad I did the shopping yesterday so I don't have to go out in this wind.

I had to laugh at this. Can you imagine the smell. Those who like it will be wanting toast and those that don't will be wrinkling their noses!!!!!!
News flash.
'Marmite' motorway clean-up begins
A large-scale clean-up operation is under way after a tanker carrying more than 20 tonnes of yeast extract - believed to be Marmite - overturned on a busy motorway. Police shut a section of the M1 in South Yorkshire at around 10.15pm on Monday following the incident, which saw the vehicle crash and and spill its contents onto the carriageway. The road remains closed in both directions between junction 32 and 33 near Sheffield and is expected to cause delays for rush hour commuters.

Oh my! I'm on my way .Between James and me we get through loads of Marmite!,and it is so expensive. What a mess that must be ,and can you just imagine the smell :-S
What a miserable morning. It is dark ,windy with a light drizzle.
Kim,I'm keeping fingers crossed (even my sore one) lol that are able to stay at home.Maybe a nice bath will ease things a bit.
Mel I bet your Omelets are scrumptious.I do love an Omelet .If Omelet is on a menu when I'm out somewhere I will have one.
I need to look for a receipt as I need to collect some trousers from Nex*,and I'm not sure where it is :-S :-S
Kim ,no ,no more news.I am not doing anything except wait as there were emails flying back and forth on Sunday and it was all very unpleasant.I'll be here when I'm needed.Trouble now is I am not sleeping too well .Waking about 4 am :-S :-S :-S
Quick coffee and press on .BBL

Morning my beauties, <3 <3 <,
What a bummer.!! This morning I had a large Cranberry Vase turn up in the post for a little present for Ros. for Christmas (she loves cranberry glass) When I opened it the stem was broken off. I have sent an Email to the seller, will now wait for his reply.
SORRY PAT, I didn't know you had recorded it !!! Won't do it again. Promise. :-D :-D :-D
Horrible morning here, strong wind with rain in it. Not particulary cold, but so misserable, won't be doing anything in the garden today.
Jane, for whatever reason, I am waking about 4.30 am every morning, and the old brain clicks in, sometimes I will lay there till the dawn breaks, then drop of for another couple of hours.
Mel, I am so lucky, I never hear a thing in the night. When we had thhe P.O. it was on the then main A43. Northampton to Oxford. The old stone cottage rattled from the noise of the lorries changing gear comming up the Hihgh Street. I went to Boot# and bought some "MUFFLERS" (EAR PLUGS) I have worn them every night since,so don't hear Ros snore, the wind blowing. Not even the BURGULARS !!!
Kim, I do hope you were more relaxed after your bath and that you are having a good nights sleep.

Days without Time
These where the days without time, no one had a watch we would just go exploring, return home when hungry, we would walk for miles, the older we got the further we would go, in the summer we’d walk down the fen to where the beck turned left into the woods then paddle all the way back to the village, on the way back we’d get over the water falls (not much of one but that’s what we called it) often get a nice trout from this part of the beck, pass under the road next to Woodside Cottage, a deep pool at the back, we use to dam and use as swimming pool, little further up you’d come across the ford, very little water over in summer but winter another story, here also marked the start/end of the woods, next you’d come across the old mill house, not in use any more but you could still see where the water wheel was etc, from the mill house to the Johnsons place (the Johnsons was you could say the first/ last place in /out of the village) this stretch of the beck was one of my favourites, it was away from the road, again a bend with a deep pool we use for swimming in, a sand bank House Martins would nest, always a few Kingfishers in this area, a spinney which blocked the view from the road so we never got chased away, just a couple more bends and back into the village.

Morning All another wet and dark windy day Thanks for your card Shirl, I like the stamp too. also the fancy envelopes, you don't get pictures on our envelopes here,
Couldn't get on the internet yesterday and had trouble this morning too.
I went shopping yesterday , was looking for a new top to wear for my christmas evening meal and a lunch date, needed something with long sleeves as I really feel the cold these days, got a couple of blouses and a little sparkly cardigan to keep me warm.
