I see there is a 10 part Find My Past show a bit like WDYTYA starting 20th October. They find 3 people who are linked to some significant historic event.

Maureen I would love to have done that (but a few years ago!) First OH and I bought an old run down house and garden (that we lived in) and did it all up. Good luck with it and a good idea to get the garden straighter before the bad weather starts. More filling, sanding and painting inside then! :-)

Better get the radio on now .......OH will ask me if I listened to him. lol

Yes it was!!!!

Have hoover through the hall and oh's study while he was in the garden. There must have been about 15 spiders in his room. All up on the ceiling which I can only just reach since oh used the other pole for the hoover and lost it!!! I need that other 14 inches to reach comfortabley.

Good to see our Maureen is back and has been busy. I suppose it is alright doing up a place when there is'nt anyone living there. It means you can leave the things till the next time you go there.

Maureen Frank did'nt fall in the SKIP he fell in the TIP throwing branches in a big hole.

Ooooh Mel ! I have just caught the BIGGEST spider running across the carpet.
I thought it was one of Chesters bits of food that had fallen out of the ball thing he has that he rolls around the floor.I don't think the Conkers that we have placed around the room are working at keeping spiders away :-S

Ann that sounds like it could be an interesting programme. Thanks for that info.

Shirl I am not giving my size away other than to say I am not 'petite' ;-)
My dear old Dad was someone who could never put weight on and was really skinny. He hated wearing short sleeves and I never remember him wearing shorts. He always felt awkward about his thinness .I have the opposite problem lolol

I thought I had posted this morning but i hadnt.

It has been cold out today but sunny....I felt chilled though this afternoon since visiting a friend....I had a nice hot bath and washed my hair before dinner and have been wearing Pjs since...I have a new dressing gown that hadnt been used so I am wearing that now...
I have to battle to work against the wind and back...not nice now...The clocks go back in two weeks then we know winter is on the way..

The man next door who caused all the flooding moves into his house on monday...No more rent will be paid to him for elsewhere...There is still alot to do in there...

Evening all
Feel light as a feather mean my hair not my weight, lol
Got it cut a little shorter than normal as it looked like it was dragging me down with my face being thinner,
Was really windy and raining when I went to hairdressers at 2 but by the time I came out hour & half later it had stopped raining and I was able to walk home Mel, takes me about 1/2 hour, it was still windy so I kept my hood up.

Hey it was dark here tonight at 6.30, and daughter no 2 said it was cold when they came down for dinner,

Jane we get a lot of huge spiders running over our living room carpets this time of the year, I hate it when OH is away and I have to catch them myself and throw them out of the back door or open a window to get rid of them.
we have cemented up a hole in the old back porch and thankfully we are not getting any more slugs in (shudder) horrible slimy things, I suppose they want to come in from outside because it's wet and cold.

I am still having to put up with a lot of noise comming from there as well..

Girls Im a size 12 /14 depending on the style and make... but being only 5ft 1/2 makes you look bigger.I get fed up with shortening trousers..the short ones are too short I have to have medium length and shorten them myself..
I lost 12lbs at xmas and havent put it on...

You have been busy Frank..I live in a terrace house and only have a small garden.I used to knit at one time until the children decided that wanted bought jumpers...I remember knitting a dress for myself...I looded like twiggy then lol.

Maureen..you and your son have taken on abig project..good luck...I only had 3 rooms done after they got wet..

Fiona ..It always feels nice when you have your hair cut short..Mine is tick so she has to thin it out as well...Then you look at the floor and think is that all mine.

MORNING, LAZY BONES.

Another bright sunny morning, without a cloud in the sky.

Found out last night a a lad in the village (37) was walking along the road, on the correct side , when a van travelling at (the police think 60 plus) lost control, and hit him full on frontal and carried him 50 yards throught a hedge and into a field. His girlfriend and another couple were missed. He is O.K. with lots of bruises but not one broken bone. His time wasn't up. Home now, from hospital,

I has left Ros in the land of Nod, while she's sleeping she's not in pain.

Morning Frank
Morning Mel

Wow Frank that fella was lucky, He must have been terrified being dragged like that, I would be having nightmares for a long time after, and his poor friends having to watch that happening too.

Lovely bright sunny COLD day here, great change from all the wind & rain we have been having, I think I will walk down to town today before I meet up with friends, need to go to the bank etc, TV bill due to be paid,

Catch up later :-D

Lovely bright sunny day here; done ALL my chores and am planning a trip to the tip this afternoon. We have to take an old fridge, washing machine and other bits and bobs, what do you bet that they are' iffy' about taking this sort of 'rubbish'! we shall see!! Last night computer behaved SO badly that I had to give up in the end! it was that or throw it out of the window!!!! Frank, I am sorry that Ros still seems to be 'under the weather,' and frustrating that the problem can't seem to be properly 'run to earth'. I think she is very lucky that you look after her so well, 'Gold Star' standard, I would have said! That 'young' man was VERY lucky not to be badly hurt/killed. I hope that they catch the driver responsible and throw the book at him. (Sadly, a tap on the wrist is more likely !) Ian is fiddling with his computer! Apparently it hasn't got any sound, which is causing consternation (?!) and rather a lot of swearing!!

Morning All
Quiet today isn't it.
Frank, that man was so lucky not to have been killed. As you say it wasn't his time yet.Did they get the driver?

I am still in my nightie but have been having a good old hoover through.Just stopped for a coffee and a cool down before starting the next bit.

It is a lovely sunny morning.I think an afternoon in the garden is called for.Mind you I have just looked out and it seems like there are some clouds about :-| :-|.I hope they are not rain clouds.

ALLRIGHT OWN UP. who has given me the rotten rasping cough and headache.???? Woke up this morning feeling a bit iffy, Now I am sitting in dressing gown with large box of tissues, sneezing and coughing. (MAN FLU)
I hear you say. Come on a big AHHHHHHH. I need some tender care :-( :-( :-(

Ros is dusting and polishing the lounge, The hoover will be out next.

Liz, At our local tip they have special areas for "WHITE GOODS" to you should be allright. Glad you are getting sorted out.

Yes Jane they got the driver, arrested for drink/driving. He was from Leeds. Must be working down here, not for long by the sound of it.. The lad wasn't dragged he was pushed. Smack in the middle of the front of the van. The van is a total right off, The young lad is built like the perverble brick SH#T house so I can imagine what the van would be like.

Going to ask Ros for a coffee, and put my feet up again.

If I can manage it later I will be back. later. LOL LOL
