Morning all,

Been racking my brains, where these photo's could be. When I went through my divorice, I didn't get many bits of my own. including photo's of 17 years of marriage and childrens photo's. I will be devastated if I have thrown the away. I keep searching in this place then that place. But no luck.

My legs have never been thick. But they could run like the wind as a youngster. Played left wing in football, and no one could catch me. ;-) ;-) ;-)

What a cracker of a day again, all doors and windows open. As I said last night. NO LUMBER JACKING again today. Can't find anywhere that dosen't ache. Will get the lounger out and have a read, in the sunshine.

Trust you are all well, enjoy the weather.

Morning and another beautiful wall to wall sunshiney day.

OH has told me not to stay indoors today as it is too nice.

We have the tree man coming this afternoon too.

OH has mowed the grass in front of my border so I think I shall be working on that.

Frank I shall have a look and see if I can find that tree again and if I can get anymore info on the people you have sent me I shall let you know. I doubt it will be today but if I get hot up there you never know........

Pat thanks for the pic of the birds. I have replied.

Hope all aches and pains are not too bad on this lovely day.

Love to all of you.

Have been sitting out in the garden reading. It got so hot, the sweat was running down my body. Come in to get a shower and cool down

. Outside on the side of the consevatory, thats not in the sun, it is just over 30 degrees. OMG aren't we going to notice the difference when it goes back to normal.

No Jane, Searched the house out, Amongst the photo's were my school football team, my RAF football team. Photo's of me and my sister also the five of us on a bank, dressed in sunday best. when we were evacuated. It's so upsetting loosing what little bit I have got of my past. Booo Hooo They were all original, so no one will have copies.

Feel really bad this afternoon, I feel like going to bed and locking myself away. Very depressed and a feeling that I am going to blow. I must keep the lid on it, and perhaps go for a walk after dinner. to get me away from myself.

have done a load on the family tree, on my Mothers side. also found a bit more about my Dad's side. I don't know where all these people come from. Now back to 1700s It looks like there are Welsh in the Family somewhere.

Well I have been and come back .I didn't chose the best time as schools were coming out ,plus a burst water main at the top of the Rd and temporary traffic lights.
Then on the way home traffic was backing up as there was a little white cat in the middle of the rd.It looked a bit confused bless it.But eventually someone shooed it onto the pavement.
It showed 27 degrees on the car thermometer Is tomorrow supposed to be even hotter?

I have a pot of stock on the go with chicken carcass ,onion, carrot, celery.I have never done that before. How long to I keep it simmering?I does smell nice.
I had a look at remaining carrots in the garden just to stick in the pan ,and pulled up a whopper lol.The ones that are left are well past their sell by date :-S

We have been feedind a tabby cay at our back door since we moved in.

It belonged to a family 3 doors away.

On Tuesday a reversing skip wagon ran over it.
My wife helped them bury it in their garden.

Same family have a second white and gray patch work cat.
We have seen it a few times at the rear of our house.

Ignoring food but following the scent of its companion. :-S

Jane

Jane Report 29 Sep 2011 18:48

Oh David ,that is so sad.Poor Puss, and very kind of Ellen to help bury it.
I remember a couple of years ago next doors cat died just outside our front door.We put it in a box until the neighbours got home the next day,and I found their other cat wandering around looking and sniffing around the box after it's pal :-S :-S

Well tonight I was going to do Saute potatoes with pork steaks. But it is too hot to be stood over a frying pan .So it is pork steaks done in the oven and frozen chips and frozen peas.If the men complain .....be it on their heads lolol.

The garden has had a good watering tonight.I think it was desperate.

Has Mandy been to the coast???What a perfect day for that :-D

Evening Everyone,

I just thought after typing that.......wasn't there an advert that went 'Eveninks and morninks, we drink Warni*ks'?

Just looked at my old email account I hardly use now and there were 2 urgent emails from the same building society. They said someone had tried unsuccessfully to use my password to log on to my account and that for safety reasons I needed to reset my password and could I click on a link to confirm my details. Guess what, I haven't had an account with that building society for a few years and it certainly wasn't an on line account when I did!!!!! Phishing emails no doubt.....now both DELETED!! It makes me furious these greedy folk who try to trick us out of our hard earned cash. GGGRRRRR!!!! Watch out everyone......if I'd had an account with the building society I would have phoned them to check instead.

Jane, I agree, WDYTYA was very interesting last night! Amazing to find such important ancestors. I was interested in the conflict with the native indians as that cropped up in my book about the Quakers. Luckily for them, they helped the natives so they were mostly accepted by them.

The Drawing and Painting class has been cancelled as not enough interest, but I have joined the jewellery one which is on Friday mornings, so by Christmas I could be covered in 'BLING'. lol :-D

OH's dentist trip resulted in a filling needing doing!! :-S More expense as Frank would say. We then collected and took the chippings to FIL. We then went to Nuneaton and I got some new bras ( not Sadies... lol). OH spent some vouchers he had on a book.......since we went to see Tinker, Taylor, Soldier, Spy he's got a taste for spy books! Then we went for a carvery and came home and wilted and watched a bit of tv.

Tomorrow after I have been to the class OH is taking me to Stathern near Melton to take some pics of the autumn trees. He went to a meeting there the other day and said it looked absolutely glorious ......we shall see. May have a light bite over that way somewhere too. Life of riley this week, but a shame not to enjoy this lovely weather.

Sorry you still haven't found your photos yet Frank. Maybe they will still turn up yet. Things can end up in the strangest places.

Mel, are those trees down safely yet? I bet it looks quite different now.

David, that was a very kind gesture of Ellen's to help bury the neighbour's poor puss cat.

Hope Fiona is home and tucked up in bed and that Liz is getting sorted at her new place and that Kim is feeling a bit better and that Shirl can get her computer sorted.

Nighty, night........xx

Jane

Jane Report 29 Sep 2011 21:54

I'm still here lol
Was that an Advocaat (SP) advert Ann?
I hope you get some great pics of the Autumn Colours tomorrow. They are beginning to look wonderful here now. They say this could be the best time for the most amazing Colours on the trees for Donkey's years.

Now I am definitely saying night night lol xx(again)

Morning all,

Was up at six, looking for photo's. Still no luck

Sky as blue as can be, and the sun is burning off the dew.

Reminds me of a Joke. A girl feel asleep on the synagogue steps, and woke up with a heavy DEW on her. Think about it. :-D :-D :-D

Got some more information from my cousins wife in New Zealand regarding the Baker family, so will try to piece it together while the house is silent. NO T.V.

Morning Frank and all
I have been out for an early walk this morning before it gets too hot.The mist was so thick going down to Cranford in the car I could barely see a thing at times.
I think I might pull a few weeds up out the front this morning, that will probably be enough exertion for the day :-D :-D

James will be setting of at Lunch time(for wedding tomorrow) and will be back on Sunday.
Off for a bit of breakfast and a cuppa.

Fiona I hope you are ok after yesterday.
Kim I seem to have got all confused as to when all your tests were/are.Is it today you are having more?
Back in a while

My Dad was a "NUT BROWN" man. Rolled his own for as long as I can remember. Before that it was the old "PLUG" tobacco. use to cut bits off (like rope) rub in hands and smoke in a pipe.
My first memory of smoking was pinching a bit of tobacco and a Rizla paper and a swan vesta. going up to the toilet and roll one uo and puff it out of the window. He caught me once, sat me down at the kitchen table and rolled me the BIGGEST FAG. I had seen. Made me smoke it and inhale. Was a sick as a Pig. Never put me off though.

We are just off to Tesc# for the weekend shop.

See you later.
