All showered and shave, ready to go when her ladyship decides what time. We don't usualy eat till 4/5pm. so will be early for us today. Haven't eaten so should be ready for it later !!!! (FOOD JANE)!!!!!

I have just been looking at pumpkin seeds on Ebay, twenty seeds per pack. HOW MANY OF US ALL DOING THE COMPETION. I might treat you all to a few seeds each. if you behave yourselves and say PLEASE !!!!

Hi I am back.

OH took me to a garden center where he bought me dinner.

I had roast beef and all the trimmings and we had apple, pear and black cherry crumble for dessert. I had thick golden clotted cream and OH had custard on his and then complained it was too hot to eat!!

Went round the g. center and he bought me a pair of binoculars for my birthday. They are really smashing and I can see right up the garden and all the feathers on the male pheasent ( my new Phil Pheasent with a broken toe) up by the arch into the veg garden.

So no cooking for me tonight. How lovely..........................

I have found myself thinking about my Mum recently.It will be 6 years tomorrow that she passed away.Hard to believe where those 6 years have gone.Funny how time goes so much quicker the older you get.

Think we may do Hundredweight for the pumpkins or we could do Jack O Lantern but they are smaller. In any case I shall grow the Jack ones cos they sell on my table or up the shop. I still have one from last year in the uti room that we have'nt eaten yet.

I even have a recipe for Pumpkin Marmalade but it comes out a bit runny.

Forgot to say the pond is still filling up but not much more to go now about 6 inches before it reaches the woden surround.

I think I was about 10 , when I tipped away the prawns. I remember coke cola in glass bottles , tastes so much better that way, & there used to be a orange drink , that used to come in powder form , which you then mixed with water , I have no idea what it was called though.

Someone here will remember the powdered orange drink Margaret.Not sure I do.Was there a lemonade powder?It's great you coming up with some fresh memories.We have been going so long we tend to run out lol

Afternoon All,

We had lunch out too, just at Morri*ons today. I can't remember the last time I cooked sunday lunch! We are usually out somewhere and I just have a vegetable lunch, no potatoes, but had a leg off OH's chicken today! I did succumb to a pecan cheesecake slice though. I think crumbles are my favourite pud Mel.

Hi Margaret......I remember the small Vim*o bottles with the metal tops on that flipped off. I remember we used to collect and swap the different kinds of bottle tops at school. Remember the waxed straws in the school milk bottles, how they went soggy and collapsed before you'd drunk all your milk!! Same with the Ki*ra drink cartons in the cinema.lol We are so used to having plastic ones now I'd forgotten what a pain those straws were..

Think I'll give the'pumpkin' growing a miss Frank! on account of 'house moving' !! I shall be keeping a close eye on the rest of you, No cheating please'!! As for sunflower?! on Exmoor, we don't do Sunflowers! the weather just isn't up to them!! I don't remember Orange Powder Margaret, but I certainly remember Lemon Powder, I remember my fingers being all yellowy, as you had to suck the powder off them out of a paper bag, yuk, sounds disgusting,but I loved it and so did all my yucky little friends!! The thing was it was SO cheap to buy, so were Sherbert Fountains; you sucked the sherbert through a liquorice straw, and if you did it wrong it made you splutter and cough. Remember Gobstoppers changing colour as they got smaller, all cheap as cheap! Jane, my mother has been dead for 25 years this June and I still miss her, and my stepfather who died 8 months later, so I can understand the sadness you must feel. I sometimes wish (stupidly!!) that they'd both just stop being dead and come BACK! I forget though that they would both be into their 90's, and not the same as they were all those years ago!

Have you seen anything on Right Mov* that takes your fancy today Liz?My Sister and BIL are on there everyday looking to see if anything new crops up.

I do feel sad that Mum is not here any more and my dear Dad.I would love them to be able to see how their Grandchildren have grown up and how well they are doing.My son doesn't remember Dad which is a terrible shame.
But we can't turn back the clock.I have the memories .Happy ones.

My dinner is smelling so good.Only thing I'm not sure how my roast potatoes will be.I thought I bought Maris Piper as I always do.But these are something different.The bag looked the same.

Had a smashing lunch at the carvery. Choice of PORK,GAMMON,BEEF,TURKEY. about six vegs, and yorkshire pudding. STUFFED.!!!

Margaret, Welcome to the mad house. I hope you can bring some new topics into our gathering. I remember the lemonade powder. also Ros mentioned Kayline I think it was the same stuff.

The pumpkin seeds I have beed looking at are BIG MAX. Jack O lantern. upto 100lbs and 70 inches round. Do we need to go as big as that????. We wont be able to lift them.!!! I think we should all do the same. or how can we judge who's is biggest. Or do we just do our own thing ???? I will need address's of those of you I don't have,if you want me to send seeds.
