Gosh Ann it's frightening how things have gone up is'nt it?

I got out some old drawing pins and they had 25p on the top of the box!

Getting dark quick tonight. I have only just come in from doing all the chickens and bantams and thought I would just have a look at the thread and now it's time to go and shut the big ones in and I have'nt had my cupps yet.

We have iciles hanging in the corner of the porch outside and I wonder how long they will be tomorrow??

Sheila cut the arms off an old jumper or sweat shirt and use them as ankle warmers. I have done that in the past. Grease them up well with either vasilene or Aqueous cream. You can get it from the docs.

Another frosty day ,when i went out in the car this morning it said -7 and this was about 9 o.clock .

A bigger shock for fer daughter Ann.
Since it was only hours after being discharged from hospital there will surely be an inquest?
My wife,a retired nurse thinks the hospital may have discharged her to die at home.
The lady living on the other side of her has just been discharged from hospital recently having had a perforated ulcer.

They are socks to hang up for Santa Mandy, about one foot long to the heel and 6 inches wide at the top. I am rusty at knitting, but have done about 3 inches while watching the telly tonight. Now I am wondering whether I have enough wool!! I have PM you.

FIL managed to slip over on the path yesterday because he was hurrying he said! Landed on his BTM and luckily no damage done. He wasn't a bit bothered and said he has plenty of padding there, but really he needs to get shoes with deep tread on the soles and be careful......at 89 things can snap!!

Got out for P at 3.30am, couldn't settle, tossed and turned. Ros got up at 6.00am. I followed her out 6.30am.Lewis is still sleeping.

Well we have lots of snow and it is still coming down.Frank you didn't say if you have any.I hope you get out for your lunch.Is it Beckworth Emporium that you are going to? I think they have an ice rink there

Local Radio says, CRASHES AND ROADS BLOCKED by accidents Taking three hours to get 3 miles. Have rung Conrad. Cancelled our lunch time trip.. A 45 and A 43# are in a very bad way. Jan went into Oakham this morning about 5 miles took an hour, on the way back a lorry stuck on a hill. Traffic snarled back two miles.#(The two road that I need to use)
Never mind will have a day indoors with Ros and Lewis. Have had a new pair of trousers, and two new shitrs, from Ros, Lewis's present will come with his mum and dad tonight. Conrad's when I see him at Christmas. My brother rang (79) today. Not heard a word from my own children. then I suppose I didn't expect it anyway.

Had a Facebook message(HAPPY BIRTHDAY) from an old friend who I haven't seen for over 50 yes 50 years. He is a month older than me. I must remember that for next year !!!!

Trust you are feeling a bit better today Jane. Do take things easy. Get the kids to do the running around, you stay in the warm.

Yes we were going to Beckworth, but have cancelled.

Well. we have snow !! only very fine stuff , but it has left a dusting on the road ,there's tracks were the traffic has gone down the road .

Ann, you got to get a move on then if you want to finish those socks for Christmas , get OH to knit a few rows lol

What a shame you had to cancel your meal Frank,but its better to keep in if the roads are bad , you'll enjoy your day with Ros and Lewis.
Its a shame you haven't heard anything from your children ,but you never know ,the days not over yet ,you might get a message from them , and you do have all your friends on here thinking about you .
