question : If someone offered you half a million to arrange a business meeting between them and your ex partner, would YOU take it?

( I'm not adding on the other thread, it's right off my screen).

What price do you put on 'integrity'? I'm asking myself this question too lol. What would , in my fairly cash strapped state, be the amount I just couldn't turn down?

I know what you're saying Rose - however if you did you wouldn't make the news:-)) I also haven't posted on the other thread but mainly because I don't want to be belittled, lectured to and I don't want to feel I need to have to explain every last word I write.

I think a few people will know what I mean, Julia.

True Rose - I don't know who your ex is:-)) I'm betting he isn't a member of the Royal Family.

They say that each man has a price.... so it is probably in all of us to succumb... and I think at times it is what we would call *compromising* at the lower and less spectacular end of the scale... bargaining, whatever....

I know that if my children or grandchildren were somehow at serious risk, and I could resolve it by lowering my integrity, then it would be lowering of integrity for me.

Women throughout history have needed to compromise etc, just to survive... and are the first to be criticised for it.

Welcome back our Rose, lol!! I have missed you.

Love and (((((hugs)))))

One man's bribe is another man's commission.

Try doing business in the city and see how far you get without greasing palms!

As to the question, with the state of our finances, if I had an ex I'd introduce a prospect for a tenner...lol

Lol Colin.... I was just using the saying.... and then went on to show that I think women have been doing this always... sorry, I should have made it clearer it was the *universal man* that I meant, which includes women... sort of as in *mankind* includes us as well? I hadn't intended to be sexist, lol ;¬))

My compliments to Rose for starting up a more relaxed thread on the subject.

The other one has all the hallmarks of descending into an exchange of personal abuse and a competition to see who can post the longest, most obscure words.

I have liking for neither Miss Ferguson nor the NoW, so my view is somewhat unemotional. But I agree with what I think Rose is saying.

Just exactly what has the woman done wrong ?

As far as I can see, she did no more than take money from someone on the promise of introducing them to the man of their dreams ( a concept that many are no doubt familiar with ).

I don’t think, but I might be wrong, that there is any suggestion that she was in a position to influence any business dealings. And if someone is willing to splash out half a million buckaroosies for nothing more than a handshake then one wonders just who was stinging who !

Yes, Miss Ferguson has long been an embarrassment to the royal family with her horrendous debts and compulsion for spending more money than she earns ( another concept that many might be familiar with :) ), but if Andrew is squeaky clean on this one then perhaps little harm will have been done.

And if she has got any sense then she will get herself down to Max Clifford’s office to see if there is any mileage in a story about a heavily indebted, easily led and vulnerable woman being deceived by a gutter tabloid.

Yes Robin, I agree with Rose too.... and sooooo agree with you about the penchant some folk have for long and obscure words!! Well said that man!
