Julia thanks for the update, I have friends use a specialist in the area that you are going to and with good results. It isn't easy and a lot of people may think you are mad paying out the money. But I think you are right in doing what you are doing.
Just remember though unlike with humans in pain we have a say in our loved animals.

Choice between human and animal thats the easiest decision I could make.
Give me my pets anyday.

Julia you take care.

It is sooo hard - why do we become so attached to these pets of ours? And doesn't it hurt when they are suffering? I've been there, got the T shirt and the grey hairs to prove it and yet I still have animals around and would never be without them ...

Hope everything works out for you all.

Awww, Julia.......I am so sorry to hear about your poor little Molly. It's awful when they are ill and sometimes you just don't know what to do for the best. :-((((

I guess all you can do in these situations is to be guided by your vet. I've always found that they will give them a fighting chance but won't them suffer unnecessarily. Do they know what is actually wrong with Molly yet?

Glad to see this come up, as after finishing the i***ing I was going to post.
We have been through various degrees of highs and lows, during this past couple of weeks. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
OH was due to take Molly to a specialist Dermatologist today in Coventry. But, change of plan. Last Friday, much against his will, our vet was due to put Molly to sleep, but could not do it. There is a God. Instead he gave her a steroid injection, and after a rocky start, Molly has continued to make vast improvement.
OH fetched her home yesterday, and though I am not saying all her problems have been solved, and may recurr in the future, she is doing very well at the moment.
We will just have to go with the flow, and see what happens, as we go along. I thank the Lord, and the vet, that Molly was not put to sleep.
Thanks you all for your interest, and your messages of support.

PS. Many thanks Barbra for the nudge

PPS Last Thursday when the milk man knocked for his money, I was so bereft. He is due again in a while, and will be most suprised

Hello Barbra, after spending yet again, another week in residence with the vet, she has come home again. He has now given her some steroid tablets, and special medical wipes to heal the sores on the underside of her paws. This is to help them heel, and not keep cracking open, which was causing her much distress.
Hopefully, this will do the trick. I have to say that, she seems alot happier in herself, at the moment.
I could paper the down stairs loo, with the bills.LOL
Thank you for asking about her

Hi Julia

It's only money after all. When it's our little ones we would go to the end of the earth for them wouldn't we? Big hugs for you all and a very special hug for little Molly. All good wishes for her continued improvement.
