If you can take brufen, check with your dentist/pharmacist whether it's ok to take them beforehand? Make sure you've eaten something before you take them. Hopefully that will stop the pain.

Edit: By the way, the needle may be uncomfortable but taking the tooth out won't hurt. You'll be ok, besides I thought you've had children? If so this should be a walk in the park ;)

SRS it's not the pain on it's own really tbh..I have a real prob with a gag reflex thingy...though i'v e been advised to ask for the numbing spray..which i will do. The minute i walk in lol xx

Muffy, I know what you mean. When i had my wisdom teeth out, I felt the same thing. Strangely enough it's not when they took the teeth out, that was ok. It's when they do the x-ray of your teeth.

Tell the dentist beforehand, you'll be fine Muffy.

On my notes from my previous dentist it had *BOLTER* in red letters at the top lol.

I did a runner halfway through a teeth cleaning once cos it made me feel sick.

Well....I went !!!

What a funny guy my dentist is !!! Had a right good laugh which I wasn't expecting !!

I don't need my chipped tooth out he's going to fill it for me...and give them a good clean whilst I have the injection running...but he reckons apart from that one the others look ok...which is a relief.

Asked about the numbing spray and he said we're going to try it without...we have devised a system where I lift my leg if I feel I'm going to gag and want him to stop ...and see how that goes...though the option is there if I want it if that doesn't work.

Just about to book for the actual treatment but feel better for having met him...he's very laid back with a wicked sense of humour so even though I'm very worried about going back for treatment...it's nowhere near as bad as I'd imagined xx
