November is cutting it a bit close, but the St Lawrence and Lake Ontario don't freeze over until a little later, so you should be okay.

A fleet of dinghies then? I'll alert the coast guard!

I like the cruise ship idea,

How close to Toronto can we get in a cruise ship? Anyone know how to hijack one without being noticed?

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 24 Apr 2010 19:48

You can get right into Toronto ... as long as the river and lake aren't t frozen over.

For travelling directions in mid-winter, google maps will undoubtedly instruct you to pack skates.

So, are we set then? It's a cruise liner to go (dare I say it) back and forth *cough* to Toronto.

At least it solves the problem of food, accommodation and transport all in one LOL

TeresaW

TeresaW Report 24 Apr 2010 20:07

Easy Peasy, she has experience. She'll only have to throw a hissy once and the captain and he will happily comply with our requests.:-)))

The weather will be great, it's never let us down on any of our meets so far. There will be an unusual Indian Summer in Toronto in November.

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 24 Apr 2010 20:20

Oh, you people.

You come to Toronto in the *summer*. It will be hot enough for you then, I double guarantee that.

Even in winter ... why, I was there the year they got real snow ... and they called out the army to clear it.

Actually, I left a few hours before the snow arrived. I knew what would happen, with those effete Torontonians in charge, and I'd be trapped in Toronto for days if I didn't beat a hasty retreat, even driving with pneumonia as I had to do.
