Linda did offer Mrs. P. and we Aussies are never slow at taking advantage of silly Brits.

I've noticed that Rolf Harris has joined us - hope he was upset by our posts fighting over who doesn't want him:))

Good Evening/ Morning all

Don't forget Rolf Harris is a West Australian...the boy from Bassendean

People in WA ARE trying to forget!

SueMaid Report 16 Jul 2009 23:09

Good morning, Allan. Did you go for your morning walk? Be careful what you say - we don't want Rolf to get upset and come back here. Actually I didn't know he was a West Australian.

Hi, Lynda, Sue,

No no walk this morning: too wet and windy

Bassendean an outer suburb of Perth, although it does have its own local government.

Not a bad place really, know that RH has gone!

Regards

Well you learn something everyday, Allan.

I'm always up early, Lynda. Once I'm awake I have to get up:)) Having a grandson over for a sleep over doesn't help either - especially when he crawls into bed with us at 5.30 am.

Hi Alison,

The Barrington River is about 5 minutes away from us. In this day and age it isn't particularly deep but when the snow melt starts to flow or there ae big downpours of rain it really moves and get quite deep.

Hi AlisoninOz,

It sounds very pretty there. The drowning happened in 1866. My great grandfather's 2 brothers were crossing the river on horses and one got swept away. He was only about 22. Sad really.

Hi Sheila,

I'm in Central Qld. We've finally had some winter here too! Wouldn't mind some rain though. I see Stanthorpe got some sleet.

Hello Janet. Hope your weekend is a good one. I'm baby-sitting 3 of my grandchildren tomorrow. My daughter doesn't work very often on Saturday so I don't often do a full day. I love it and they're good kids but I'm exhausted at the end of the day.

Good morning to the Aussies and good evening to the Brits who can't keep away:)) I'm on my way out soon so - as much as I'd like to - I won't be staying to chat. Have a good weekend everyone.

Good morning all. Four degrees here at 7am, so I stayed in bed a bit longer, then got up and switched on the aircon. I know I'm a coward - and I admit it.

We can expect a high of 18 to-day. Even that isn't much to look forward to for me - 28 would suit me better.
