Oh lord Ann, I didn't get to go and look for a coat today. I had to phone the doctors first thing this morning, very sore throat and tongue, not able to swallow properly.
I have got Oral thrush, goodness knows where that has come from, but I did have a dose of it last June.
Now I am on more anti-biotics, and an oral spray,,,oooh I am so fed up with myself, I just wish that if the weather changes for the better, so will all these blessed germs and things.
A very fed up Mo just popping in to say hello and bye for now. xxx

Guess what, I have got myself a new coat, yippeeee.
Trust me to want one, when the seasons are changing, and the summer wear is coming into the shops.
How lucky am I, we went into M+S,as per usual Ann,...nothing. Second shop was Evans, and yes there it was, in the sale at £25.00, a real bargain. There was only one size 14 left, and I quickly snatched it of the rail, as some other ladies were looking at it as well.
Roly was well and truly gob smacked, he has NEVER in 51 years, known me to buy something so quickly, without having to trail trough every shop in town LOL.

Thank you for the lovely easter cards girls.

Tomorrow, we shall venture out to the supermarket, as I forgot to buy the hot cross buns, silly me. Have got fish, but forgot the buns, the usual good friday food in our house.

Been a good soul today, have rid the garden of so many weeds, that it thinks it's it birthday.
Still more needs doing, but that can wait till tomorrow, providing it's another nice day of course.

Bye for now my friends, take care, love and hugs, Mo xxx

Hi girls,

Mo, sorry to hear that you are poorly, I hope that the antibiotics and spray off the doctor will soon clear it for you.

Hope that you will feel a lot better for Ava's Christening on Sunday.

Jean. thank you for your pretty card, I love the flowers on it.

We have been invited to Alun's nephew's wedding at the end of July, it is in North Berwick in Scotland. Alun's sister has a house there, so they decided that they would like to get married in the small village church there.

Sylvia, yes ' I hope that Alun will hear from the hospital soon too, so that whatever the problem is can hopefully get sorted.

Hope that you and OH are okay and that the snow has cleared where your daughter lives.

Ann, glad you received my card, I was worried that I hadn't posted them in time.

Eliizabeth, I haven't seen you on the boards for a while, hope that you and your family
are alright.

Huia and Marie hope that all is well with you and your families.

Will say bye for now, chat to you all soon.

Take care everyone.

Love, Sallie. xxx

Hello my friends,
I hope you are enjoying your Easter break.

Well, Ava's christening was wonderful, but very long. It was one and a half hours long.
With it being Easter Sunday, the baptism was slotted into the normal service.
We have never attended a service like it before. There was a lady on the piano, a lady on the guitar, and four vocalists.
The hymns were put up on a large screen, for people to follow.
Both Ava, Lilly and another little one, were very good children all the way through, considering how long it lasted.
The children looked really beautiful, dressed in their sunday best clothes.
All in all, it has been a lovely day, including the weather. The children were able to play out in the garden when we got home, at least they let out all the excitement afterwards and not during the service.

Enjoy whats left of the Easter weekend girls.
Love and hugs to you all, Mo xxx

It sounded as though you had a very good day Mo, and the littlies were so good too...

J went to church this morning, I cant sit long enough so watched a lovely programme about ST Johns closeness with Jesus, strange thing although someone was speaking in english it was really mainly in a foreign language, but really very good.
when the titles came up at the end I was surprised to see all the main cast were of Asian and foreign names .....

When J came home it was wall to wall sport mainly football, both D and J love it so I took myself off to "the room" I looked through my many peel offs and decided to use any odd ones that were left just to see if I could ;-) I managed to make several cards, changing the colours and using some old backing papers....... I had a great time, tomorrow I will take the pics...I have left the insides blank, except for the odd embellishment, or corners.....

Now we are watching the tennis finals... which I quite like..

I hope you are all having a good Easter and relaxing dont forget to smell the flowers

:-D :-D :-D :-D thats if you have any out yet....

Hello girls,
One worn out ,tired lickle Mo here. Jean you will be pleased to know that my paint brushes have been out today, after months of being redundant.
My bedroom is now looking spick and span, with lovely new paint.
Curtains, slip rugs all washed and dried, lovely.
Next on the agenda is the living and dining room, followed by the kitchen, but not for a few days, need to rest my poor hand and wrist for a while, it's aching now.

I do hope you have all enjoyed the beautiful sunshine today, we have to make the most of it whilst it lasts.

Take care girls, love Mo xxx

Hi Elizabeth how was your Easter ? hope you managed to rest and relax. :-) <3

lots of sunshine but still a bit cool, Ann hope it soon bucks up for you all... I feel sure it will soon :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hi Jean, this is the ex painting addict speaking. It takes a lot for me to get the get up and go, as I did a few years ago.
I don't think you would like my choice of colour for my bedroom, it's a light silvery grey. I was surprised that even Roly liked it when it was done.
We have chosen Calico for the living and dining room, nice and light and bright.
Goodness me, I am surpised that you remembered my choice of colour the last time, but then it could have been the red spots I painted on the black walls that you remembered most of all.LOL

I have been busy scrubbing (with a stiff broom) the verandah to get the dirt off it. I am not quite half way there yet. When I have finished I will spray on some of that 30 seconds stuff (or whatever it is called) to make sure it is free of any of the slimy stuff. I want to finish before winter comes.

Sallie

Sallie Report 9 Apr 2015 22:19

Huia, gosh you have done well scrubbing part of your veranda with a stiff broom,,,,I find jobs like that are getting more difficult for me to do these days. So well done to you!

It will look nice when when you have finished it.

Mo, you have been a busy bee, always nice to have a room freshly decorated.
Hope that your mouth and throat are a lot better by now.

Jean, I looked at the pics of your cards, it's amazing what you can make out of all the bits and pieces that are left.......they are pretty Jean.

I have been trying to sort out some of my stash over the last few days, I think I could open a craft shop with the amount of stuff I have. I've decided that I am not buying any card making stuff until I've used up a lot of of what is here.. Just hope I can keep to what I say.lol!!

Love to all our friends and their families.

Speak to you soon.

Love, Sallie. xxx <3 <3

Sallie I have just put all my craft stuff away for a while, I have four large boxes full of ready made cards, so no more to be made other than some fathers day cards and some suitable for men and boys... like you I am not ordering any more stuff...glad you liked the cards.....

We are looking to get some decorating done or at least get someone to do it.
;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) but we have so much stuff, so a clear out of household stuff is needed,
also too many clothes mostly with tags still on, shoes , leather bags etc the list is never ending, but its so difficult to do, both of us are easily tired now , I think the charity shops will do very well :-D :-D :-D

Wish I had your energy Huia :-D :-D well done....

Mo, hope you have got over your aches after doing the painting, pity though I was going to pay for your ticket to come to ours and do my painting... btw silvery grey sounds very restful ;-) ;-) ;-) I shall say nite nite to you all and pray you have a restfull night.... take care <3 <3
