Some little "scroat" has tried to steal my car

They have taken the driver side lock and then tried to take the passenger side lock and failed and I HATE THEM,

so if I catch whoever has done it, I am going to do them some serious damage....

Barbara, l'm so sorry to hear this, so annoying isn't it,had a car once and someone smashed the window and went through everything in the car l felt sick and had to sell the car after as it felt like a invasion of privacy.

Thank you LWH, it's just that normally I put it in the garage but didn't last night, so I'm cross with myself, but now I have to take it to the garage, get the new locks fitted and then I will have to pay for it.....all because some horrid little person, being polite here..... can't be bothered to go out to work and buy their own car....I am livid.

Hows you ...lol

LadyBarbara Report 31 Mar 2009 10:45

Thanks Mummo

I don't know whether it is happening because it's youngsters trying to sleal it to go joyriding, there was nothing in the car for them to steal and if they had have stolen it, it would probably ended up burnt out and I would be devastated....

Isn't it annoying that you work hard for what you have and some low-life thinks they have the right to help themselves.

Hi Sue

I love my little car, it's a soft top, and the kind of car I would have loved to been able to afford when I was young, free and single, but I've waited a long time for it and worked bl..dy hard and now someone just comes along and thinks, I'll have that and now like it or not, every young person walking down our street who has a quick glance at it, I'm going to be watching with suspicion...not nice is it?

Sorry about your car.

I know how you feel. We had our car stolen a year or so ago from our
our driveway. The insurance didn't pay out nearly enough for a
new one .

Morning Joanie

Thanks hun, I know we had our house burgled a few years ago and I was very upset at the time and lost some lovely jewellry etc but it was the thought that they'd been in the house that was the worst thing, so I know how you felt.

I'll get over this too, I'll have to, but I'm just so cross and the thought that it was all for nothing, just damage, makes me angry...

LadyBarbara Report 31 Mar 2009 11:02

Thanks Val

I think it just shows how much these peole get away with, because everyone has their own storry to tell, the Police can't do anything but give you a crime number.

A lot of worse things happen in the world all the time and this seems petty, but it makes me so angry, just the thought that they think they have the right to damage other people's property.

Valerie Report 31 Mar 2009 11:16

True, worse things do happen, but it's just so annoying that people
think they have the right to help themselves to something you have
worked hard for. Here if the culprits are caught by the Police the Justice System is so pathetic that they are seldom punished and are free
to do it again.

Same here Val

I had a friend with a hotel that was broken into while they were on holiday, the 3 lads stole loads of stuff and emptied the televisions into the dining room but then went to get a van to put them all into, the police saw the break in and waited for them, it involved about five cars and loads of police, the lads were caught and got....six weeks...it took her longer to clear all the mess up and the insurance forms and the trauma, it's disgusting really, they should be put in the stocks..lol

Hi Maria

Thank you for being cross along with me, I'm cross because it's senseless, and I now have to go to take it to the garage and be charged an arm and a leg to get it sorted, lol.....

I'll get over it I suppose, no choice really have I, but otherwise I'm calming down now, blood pressure back to normal and smiling again....

How are you

LadyBarbara Report 31 Mar 2009 12:02

Thanks Sandie, now I've got a broken foot...lol...the police don't always come out and no doubt will send me a crime number, but sometimes it's better to just pay than go down the insurance route so am going to the garage to see how much it's going to cost, remember how the police used to come out if your pushbike was stolen...lol...those were the days..

What about Jack 'O' Nine tails, give them a good thrashing.....

See you on numbers when I come back..xx

Hi Barb,

Seeing your thread, I thought you might be having another Meldrew moment ? but reading on whats happened I am sorry to hear about
your bad fortune,
my neighbour had his car stolen last month, 2 weeks later
the police phoned him to say they had retrieved his car and
it would cost him £132 to colect it from the car pound,,,
he paid for it even though it was only worth a few hundred pounds
it was still his pride and joy that some little ,,,,, took away from him
£132,,,,,,insult to injury,

All the best

Hi Barbara,

I'm fine thanks.

I know how you feel. It's so annoying when something you've worked hard for and looked after gets taken or spoilt by someone like that. And even apart from the cost and the inconvenience it's upsetting that someone has been in your car.

Stevie Report 31 Mar 2009 12:32

Hi Barbara, so sorry to see that some little scroat has tried to break into your car. Don't be angry with yourself for leaving the car out last night. Everyone should be entitled to leave their car on the raod/driveway without it being damaged.
I know its not much consolation. At least the locks did their job & kept the b@@@ers out.
