I'm also in Harlow & lots of the snow has turned to slush due to the rain, there is lots of puddles in the road which will turn to dangerous ice if it freezes again today/night |

Derbyshire signing in here. Has been snowing since about 5.00 this morning, so OH said, I was still under the duvet. Very light now.,but we have hadabout 4 inches. We are on the lower reaches of the Pennines, close to the border with Nottinghamshire, but very, very, bad further up county. In this area alone, M1 very trecherous, over 300 schools closed, events cancelled. Even the dog groomer called to cancel me dogs shampoo and set today |

Hi everyone gosh what a morning already! we had loads of snow first off and it hasn't stopped since. Heard on local radio that eldest school is closed today - loads of whooping and cheering from him! grumpy faces on the other two cos they have to go. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to work on what would have been a fifteen minute journey. I have never seen such idiots driving so fast then braking at last minute. Even the main roads are treacherous and haven't been gritted. |

I am catching up with my family tree! Snow everywhere (Northants) schools closed, roads blocked. Even my dog who loves a bit of snow said it was too much after leaping through thick snow up to his middle and decided to beat me back into the house!! Children going by in the road with sledges and trays to slide on! |
