I decided to do a little bit of gardening last Friday, just cleared a few pots out and give them a good wash, cut away a dead bush and you know a bit of a general tidy up.
Anyway went upstairs to find an old jumper because it was a bit cold.
Looked in the wardrobe and came across this baggy red jumper and couldn't for the life of me, remember when I had bought it, it wasn't familiar at all but anyway put it on and proceeded to do the jobs outside, then did a bit of hand washing and well in the end, managed to get a bit of bleach on the jumper and pulled it in one or two places, you know, but wasn't bothered because I thought it was an old jumper anyway, must have had it ages.
Only, my niece phoned yesterday and while we were chatting, said, "Oh by the way, Auntie Barbara, will you have a look in your wardrobe, I think I left my NEW RED JUMPER last time I was there......."
Gulp!!!

What red jumper? I don't remember you leaving a red jumper. I thought you were wearing that lovely blue one. You are in such big trouble:)))

Had a look at the label, it's not one I recognise, do you think I could say we were burgled and the only thing they took was the red jumper???

She'll track you down, Barbara. That was a very expensive, very exclusive red jumper. The only one made. It can't be replaced and you can't afford to give her the money it cost. Better come over to Aus.

It's okay, I've got a nice yellow jumper I would 'never' wear for gardening, I'll travel in that, with my nice Bermuda's and stunning diamante encrusted flip flops, I always travel in style!!!

Barb, take it with you, but drop it over the atlantic somewhere.

Barbara that sounds stunning and Taff that's a great idea but Barbara won't be flying over the Atlantic, dear. It'll be over land most of the way. She could toss it out over Afghanistan and scare the living daylights over a nomadic mountain dweller;))

Could I tell said niece I donated it to a poor mountain goat in Afghanistan who was a bit chilly, you two are no help really, you want to see me in trouble don't you.....
