I have succumbed to flu. It all started on Saturday with what I thought was a cold - how wrong can you be!! By Saturday evening I was languishing in bed where I have remained ever since. It hit me not just like a ton of bricks but several tons still in their lorries, combined with the Salvation Army, complete with big bass drum, marching around in my head. I don't know where I don't ache - even my little toes are tender!
(I am not a man so you can see I really do not feel well). This year for the first time I had a flu jab - I have obviously got one strain not covered by the jab - just my luck!!!
Still, the one upside is that I can sit in bed and read all your lovely notes and thoughts - they really have cheered me up - keep 'em coming - thanks a lot!!

Sending you comforting ((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) Stephanie. I have a flu jab every year and not suffered even a cold till this last one and I was off my feet for a couple of days thats all, not even long enough for hubby to feel sorry for me and start cooking lol

I have a cold and thats bad enough.

Hope you soon feel better, Stephanie. I was out for the count all Xmas and New Year - it just didn't happen at our house this time.

A few years ago I woke up, said Happy Christmas, Happy Birthday to my OH then rolled over and that was it ... I had the flu and oh my word, did I ache. xxx

Oh Mamo Rambo, my OH had the flu jab too just like you and Steph and he too went down with it this year. Horrid thing isn't it ...

My OH forgets I exist when I'm ill, think he enjoys the peace and quiet lol! wmsl xxx

I am not really on my own as I live in a "granny" flat with my son and his family in glorious Devon. My two grandsons, one 18 (at Sports College) and one 22 (at Uni) are always popping down to the "Dragon's Dungeon" as they call my place - very affectionately of course!! My granddaughter 26, lives in Southampton and keeps in touch by 'phone.

Thanks for the soup and other goodies - feeling better already.

Oh bless, it takes time to recover when you've had the flu, I always take a tonic after to help rebuild me.

What film did you watch last night on your laptop ... I was watching Larkspur to Candleford on BBCi Player, tis marvelous ... helps me when doing the ir*ning lol! Am going to watch Science & Islam tonight, tis to do with numbers and more, fascinating.

Am so laughing, I'm dippy, I'd probably take the middle fork lol! :))
