Oh you poor soul.... no central heating.
It is FREEZING here in Northants, but no snow.
The most important thing though is 'we have central heating'.
Hope you have yours fixed soon.
Happy new year.

To cold to snow (as my mother used to say) on the Sussex coast. Feel for you Alyson with no central heating.
Hiya Deanna, how you doing? Thank goodness you have heating. And all of you out there that need to keep warm, forget about turning down the thermostat. I doubt that Brown and his cronies are doing it.
Hope you can get the heating fixed soon Alyson.

Ann.
It is always an overcoat colder up here. My Dad was in the Heath 2 years ago and if we had snow or rain up here by the time we got to Caerphilly it was a different world.

Sandie:
I remember 1982 too. The snow was really deep and i used to go with my Dad shopping for the old people. Nothing moved for weeks.

My son is a delivery driver working in Herefordshire so i will be really worried until he gets home tomorrow. He has to go to Bedwas first to pick up his lorry. Otherwise i love the snow.

No snow in the severn Valley but then we rarely get it. Plenty of frost though, it didn't thaw all day today.

I'm 'over the pond' -
we have about a foot of snow on the ground, and perishing cold, mercifully the heating system works and the new venting pipes in the attic have made the upstairs much warmer than it was last year, perhaps I spoke too soon, it's now raining, which will probably wipe away the snow but create havoc on the roads as it freezes. Our high today was - 9 degrees.
Regardless I'd rather be in Wales in any weather . . . . anyone got a spare room?

My sister hasnt had heating for the last 5 yrs, She is in essex hope not got snow there.

She will not plus cant afford to pay gas man £300 just to put a fire in plus a gas cooker. As she hasnt has a cooker on for 5yrs.

She can put it in herself but needs it checked by one of those gas fiters. As its two small jobs want to charge her the earth

I dont know how she cope, even has a shower. Just thinking about it makes me feel freezing

We had about 10 inches on the ground but had a bit of a thaw. Supposed to be "mixed precipitation" tonight. Why can,t the weather man just say, "rain with a bit of snow chucked in"? lol

Bottle of home made Baileys winging its way to all of you with snow. Went a bit liberal with the spirit content! You have been warned but it will knock your socks off!

Any snow expected in Surrey? I won't hold my breath or polish up the wooden sledge yet.
