what lovely stories about friends, I'm still in contact with a girl I was friends with at primary school, we wnt to different schools at 11 but we kept in touch. She now lives and works in Africa and I haven't seen her for a few years but we send emails.

Sue you're brave with that rottie, I'm not good with large dogs but I wouldn't have left it to suffer either.

I'm trying to pack a case of summer clothes., cant get to get it together LOL
I've only just got all my winter clothes down from the loft.
I got a headache now just thinking about it ....So I've popped a few pills as well with me cuppa !!

Off to get my hubby to get his bits & bobs ready ....oh he takes so little, compared to mine ..LOL
Do you know his ambition in life is to prove that you only need two tops and two bottoms...two under pants ,one pair of shoes (all rounder ) buy all washing nic nac's where ever you go........and most important his Laptop.
Now he has threatened me, one of his holidays he is going to take a carrier bag with all what I have mentioned to the airport and that is what
I'm sure HE WILL DO one day

Hi Girls cannot say Boys as we have none on here.

I have just emailed the TPS as I am getting fed up with all these phone calls I am getting I am getting so many this week I have had someone telling me they can help me make out my will. selling me carpets, furniture for elderly people, insurances, car insurance, (I dont own a car
) and three this week alone telling me they can save me money on my telephone bill. also I have won a holiday to America.
I dont have ID on the phone I dont know if that makes any different even if I did.
I get these calls usually at night time. I did have them stopped for a while but they seem to have started again. anyway I emailed theTPS and will see what they say.

But I wont tell you what hubby says down the phone ...!!!!!

Best just to cut them off..........ours is always tea time which irritates hubby even more .

We get those calls too, usually for double glazing,, kitchens. I just say no thanks and put the phone down.

my dad was like your OH Marilyn, only took a holdall and took it on the plane as hand luggage.

We don't get many of those phone calls but we do sometimes get people knocking at the door trying to sell us something. I stand looking as if I'm interested, and let them go through their whole routine, then say 'No thanks', and shut the door.

so I am not the only one getting these phone calls, when they phone and ask things like carpets i say I have just moved in and the place has been fitted and hang up.
the BT pepole l say you can phone my son as he handles all my telephone busness and it is BT he is a Field Manager there, they hang up then yes that is true.
but the other that call at the doors I dont worry about as the flat I live in is a retirement one and we have doors in the lobby that operate by timeing so if someone want to speak to you and the time is before 6.30 and after 12.30 they have to use the phone on the wall outside to contact you so you can chose whether to open the door or not once they get through the main door they have to ring your door
