I can easily change the colours in Firefox by doing tools, options, content ,colours.
that is not the problem. I only use Firefox for my browser, I don't use anything else and if I change the colours for GR, then it changes them for every single website, which is no good. I have read all the help files, but on Firefox, I can't see a way of changing just the colours on GR without affecting other sites

I've now got a nice cream coloured background with black writing

Seems to work but at least doing this we can fiddle about and change to whatever we like.

So basically we have defied their blasted messing about with the site.

No adverts, not their choice of colours and the size we want!

LOL

Not quite the result they wanted I think.

The other thing I have just found under tools on Firefox is the option of clicking smooth scroll.

That seems to have taken away some of the jerkiness I was getting.

Hi Linda
To change colours in Firefox go to Tools, then Options then Content then click on Colours.
Oh and by the way I now have Genes just on Firefox and have added the Addblock plus. My Internet Explorer is now back to it's normal colours and Firefox I keep on my Desktop just for the Genes Site
Thank You

Thank you for this tip, I have changed it, so hopefully will be able to stay on line for more than five minutes.

For Jacky who added the last post, in Firefox, there are optional add ons, choose adblock plus and it gets rid of all adverts. Plus add the English dictionary and you get a spell checker as well.

Oops, I spoke too soon. I always use Firefox and have all my commonly used sites as tabs across the top. When I change the colours for GR, it changes them for all websites, which is no good. I can't see how to specify that the changes are just for this one website

I am really happy now
Thanks Sue
I have downloaded Firefox and at the moment have just got GR on it.
Now my Internet Explorer can go back to what it was. I was having difficulties with Incredimail colours and Greetings and a couple of other things, but it is back to normal now.
I have desktopped Firefox so nice and easy now. Great colours on Genes also. Just wish that flashing Ad would go away then I would be really happy
It's nice to have these lovely people with all the help they give us.

Regards
Jackie

Bob, make sure you also download the adblock plus and click the ads on here to block them...it's a sanity saver.

Google it and download it Bob. You can run it from your desktop and still use your usual browser for other sites.

I clicked Tools, Internet Options, Accessability then ticked the top option to ignore colours on websites.

I now have a white background and it is easier on the eyes:)))

Edit I use Internet Explorer too..............no firefox as far as I know

If everyone with an issue emailed them we'd crash their wholly inadequate system...they wouldn't have time to copy and paste the replies fast enough LOL.

Perhaps someone should suggest that if they want feedback they should read their community. I get more and more disillusioned with GR and really I'm surprised at that as I didn't think it was possible after the spyware/trojan issue from early in the year.

LOL Sue, keep practising and you'll soon be giving Hayley a run for her money... just make sure that you can get back up again. PMSL

Hi Sue
I did email Genes to ask them if they could do something about the colours for example put a Colour Button on the site so we could change to what suits us. I did say a lot of us were complaining about it. Below is the reply I got from them. Hopefully if enough people complain by email they will do something about it. Well lets hope so anyway
Have a good Day

Dear Jackie

Thank you for taking the time to write to us and express your opinion.

Our team have worked very hard redesigning the site so I am sorry to hear that you're not too keen on it.

However, I would like to assure you that I have made a note of your comments and will pass them on to our development team as they are looking at every piece of feedback that our members send in to us.

Best regards,

Nicky

Really Sue, it's quite spectacular to see LOL. I tried your colour but it wasn't right for me. They don't have the pale lilac on the pallet that I would have preferred and the pale pink background wasn't nice. I think I might have to leave it until the current eye problem settles down (assuming that it ever does *sighs* )

Thanks though, I learned something new with this :-)) Which is always good.
