yes it can be a very sad time on christmas eve we light several candles for those we have lost over the season

Love christmas, never had it as a child. Now I get together with the boys (sons) partners & wife .Starts on my birthday 22nd and goes on till new year. Here's a coincidence. I am 70 this year my dads been dead 50 years also went into RAF daughter-in-law is 50. 30 years married and grand daughter 20, grandson 10.
Any more like it????

Love Christmas but hate the heat so Christmas day is usually really hot. We normally go to my son's who has a swimming pool.
No hot meats & vegies for us we normally have Cold Turkey, Hams and lots of different Salads. No Plum Pudding but usually a nice light Cheesecake and a Trifle for dessert.
Still its always lovely to get together with my family and especially my Grandchildren.
Would love a Christmas in the Snow for a change though. White Christmasses were happy days I remember.
