My friend told her son that it was like a tadpole that went into mummy and made a baby .......no problems or questions ....

But many weeks later the son come out the school door and shouted across the play ground

"if I was a tadpole ....why wasnt I a frog when I was born"

Woops back to square one!

Kathy, good to see you, how on earth did you keep a straight face when J said about the bed lol

I always answered my son's questions when he asked but I think he and his mates did a lot of chatting about things so I didn't have to get too descriptive. Bit difficult with no dad around to help lol

The same grandson likes to know all about bones and what they are called etc.
I bought him a wee book all about bones/body parts and it had a build up skeleton.

We were going through some of them, his Dad and Grandad were sitting watching tv.
Well he found another one and showed it to us!! I did not know where to look or what to say lol.

My 8 yr old was getting sex education at school and asked me if I knew what a wet dream was .
He went on to explain that I would probably find his bed saturated but not to worry as it was normal .
Straight faced he then said did I know what an erection was .I said yes and asked if he ever had one .Yes he replied it comes up on a monday and goes down on a friday !!!!!!

His dad was sooooo proud of him !!!!!

I was never told anything by my parents ,except there was a little brown book in the private box.But it was all to do with insects and frogs or something.Nothing to do with humans.I learnt everything from friends, even that was a bit cockeyed.!!I found out eventually by myself.!!!

LOL my son was 7 and i was pregnant with my 3rd baby when he first asked me about babies i was so shocked cant remember what i said.. but a few weeks later he asked me the question again..... so i started to explain the frogspawns!! and he left it at that but every few weeks he asked me another question then another question.. i think he probably was about 9 when he stopped asking but when he does i try to be as honest as i can.... hes 11 now.

my parents never told me anything at all.. think thats why i rather be honest as i can

My son (grandsons Dad) was about 6, came in from school one day and told us he knew what sex and babies was,he then went on and told us..the basics lol.
A girl in his class told him but wasnt very fussy in the words she used lol.

I had always said I would tell him the truth when he asked but chickened out and told his Dad to take him and tell him.

Well, if you had seen they way he looked at me for days after. and as for his grandparents oh my!...they didn't did they..he said lol.
