I was going to say ladies but it does apply to men too. Why is it do you think we settle for 2nd best in life. Is it because we are to scared to get out of the relationship we are in or do we feel we dont deserve to be treated better.

Dont we all deserve to be truly loved and be treated like the princesses or princes we are, we are here for such a short time.


Would love to hear your thoughts, and if you have opted out for a better life and how it went and if you have found true happiness as it is very scary to make that big decision to leave what you have behind.

Is being on your own a better option, or are we all just searching for our soulmate?

We have been happily married for over 30 years.............. and both work hard to keep our marriage strong.

I have never been treated like a princess though..........just an equal partner:)

That's the way I see things, Kitty. It's about being equal in your relationship. I wouldn't settle for anything else.

OMG where do I start lol

I did get out of my relationship with my eldest 2 childrens dad as I could no longer live with the abuse and was very happily single for a number of years. At times I think I should of kept it that way.

Never really been treated like a princess by a man apart from my dad and grampy so I guess if you have never had it ya dont know what ya missing.

I know a couple.............in their 60's now and the wife is always saying how her husband is wonderful and will do anything for her.

She looks smug.......................he looks absolutely downtrodden and miserable!

Elaine, yes in our house I let my hubby think he wears the trousers but he knows that I do really and they fit really well lol.

Maybe it was being the youngest...of the family...I sort of was treated as a Princess.....

I didn't settle for second best - guess I was so lucky and found the best first time round - sadly he died nearly six years ago, but at least he was mine for 43 years and I am so very glad he was
