Anyone been?
Is there much to see and do?
Is it expensive?
What is the standard of accomodation?
Will we get around by public transport or need to hire a car?

All ideas and help gratefully received

Don't have the foggiest we want a nice standard of hotel on the coast, we are both into history and would ideally like to leave the driving licences at home and simply chill for a week

Colin

Its been a few years since i went but i always remember the beatiful beaches.

Places to visit

The German underground hospital, fascinating insight to what the Germans did during the occupation, and with th use of slave labour.

Mount Orgeil castle at Gorey nice village. harbour as well

La Hougue Bie museum, with a bunker history of events during the 2nd world war

When i was there food was cheap but probably changed now

Cant say about public transport we had a car.

Plenty of info on the Jersey Tourist site with full descriptions.

Although it was many years ago we actually went 4 times so it must have been worth it, and i would go again.

Colin
My brain cells have died off a bit since we were there ,but it could be St.Malo.All my travel books have been moved out of study at the mo as OH decorating.
I'll put thinking cap on and have glass of wine,it may come back to me.If it is St Malo it's worth doing.
