Good on yer!

OK it's a womans right to have a baby, but its also a womans right to choose not to, or to decide for herself when the time is right.

Many years ago I was asked this and I used to say "How do you I can have children" this was enough to stop them in their tracks. I used to then turn on my heels and walk away.

Did eventually have my son after being married 9 years.
Always had problems in that department.

And on the flip side .............

The assumption that because you are in your mid 40s you must of course already have children ? ? ?

Errr nope - I am single and I am childless - the later being my own choice ............ and of course I must be a divorcee as I am single too - NOPE !! lol

I get jarred off by always being called Mrs when I have never ever made anything legal lol When my son was small I was always correcting people who would call me Mrs W or start to fill in anything with Mrs. Have been Ms since my mid twenties and won't answer to anything else.

Hi Janine,

It is a rude question I think. Its ok to say ' have you got children' but not to ask when you will have them and if!!

I must have been lucky because I've never been asked/questioned/nagged about the children issue - good job really because my reply wouldn't be very polite!
