I can see your point Tina but my daughter falls asleep watching a dvd. She's only allowed to watch a dvd at night though if she is in bed earlier than lights off time. |

My son bought my daughters TVs when they were 17 and 15 for Christmas, I didn't know what he was getting them. |

Both mine have tv/dvd combi's in their rooms. They both have rules as to what time they are allowed to watch it until and have had no problems. |

I think things are different now from when I was a child. I didn't have a TV in my room until I was about 15 and then it was when we got a new one downstairs so I had this full size one. I think there's so much choice now that it can make sense to have more TVs. Although I do agree with restriction and my kids know they're only allowed so much TV. |

Older ones when they were in teens cos they shared a room. Youngest who is 8 has one cos everyone else does. She hardly watches it cos she falls asleep. |

Mine was 3 years old as i won a Tv/video combo and i don't see the big deal in it, he watches it and falls asleep to it, if i didn't have it up there i would have trouble getting him to bed and its only kids dvds he watches. |
