Hmmmm......well ex bought the kids a portable tv/video when they were younger but as it was between them it went in the front room, until about 3 years ago when he got them a 20in tv and an xbox (I think it was, either that or the ps2). My daughter, the youngest, was about 10 at the time and she got the bigger tv and the portable went into my son's room (he also got the xbox/ps2 in his room). However, I didn't have to worry about them watching unsuitable programs as the aerial on the portable had broken and the bigger tv didn't have one so all they watched on them were dvd's, that's still all they watch on them, apart from if they hook one of the consoles up to the tv. It does come in useful especially with my daughter as she often falls asleep watching a dvd. |

There is a TV and DVD in our spare room.......and if there is a conflict and one wants to watch a DVD and the other something on TV then one goes upstairs to watch in there......... however eldest is asking for it to be moved into their room.!!! I'm not keen. |

I have not got children so do not feel the pressure from them to "please can we have one - jenny or johnny down the roads got one" routine. |
