Susan, maybe it is because you are so hyped up about the flat and stuff, that you aren't quite concentrating on what you are doing?
Do be careful, stop at the top of the stairs and make yourself concentrate on going down, not just do it automatically, and maybe you will still be in one piece by Tuesday!

Thanks. :-)

Daff, damn me if I didn't almost fall going back up the stairs yesterday when I finally braved them again. *blames it on the pain killers*

Caz, it sort of comes and goes. Strangely I just feel absolutely wiped out, as if I were poorly. I wondered if maybe the bruising to my arm pit had caused some kinda wacky immune response with all the lymph nodes in there. Bruising appears to be internal rather than external.

I've just seen this.... you poor thing! I hope you are feeling better... I tripped over one of the cats going up the stairs (he still tries to race me,,, don't know why, he is like greased lightening, and I am .... well, I,m not!!) a couple of months ago, so know how painful it can be.

Take care

Love

Thanks, :-) I've got the heat pad on the case now.

Did have to laugh when I looked at the destructions for it, it said not to use it on injured or bruised areas. Well duh, what's it blinky well for then?

~Summer Scribe~ Report 23 Mar 2008 13:15

Well, it's probably not actually burnt, but it *feels* burnt, think it might have been the lemon juice or something, it's happened before but was quite a while ago. All the little buds were swollen and standing up :-( it's easing now but I had to brush my teeth to stop it getting worse.

Hope you feel better soon Liz. have to admit to being confused as to how you burnt your tongue on fruit salad!!!

~Summer Scribe~ Report 23 Mar 2008 13:08

Liz, I was so doped up I couldn't keep my eyes open...or feel my fingers LOL after sitting staring into space for an hour I shut down the laptop.

Woke up in horrendous pain at 7am. Had to take more nurofen and have some heat pad help before I got back to sleep. Am in so much pain today, I thought the pain I was in normally was bad enough but it sort of pales when compared to this. Feels like someone yanked my arm out of the socket and twisted it this way and that.

Mum and dad have gone to brothers for lunch and are gonna bring me back a plate. To make things worse I've sorta burnt my tongue on the fruit salad I was eating.

PMSL Kay, I must have looked quite amusing, hanging from one arm clutching the cup and looking up all dazed. I was very much in the "but I only sneezed" frame of mind.

As soon as I move away from the heat pad I start to stiffen up and of course you can't use them overnight so I'm no doubt going to be in shocking pain tomorrow. Like I don't have enough pain. Dunno how I avoided the carpet burns on the back of my legs. LOL

May, ahh well ours isn't that old, was built in the 1920s, when we had our electric fuse box moved we found the original cards behind it. They stretched for about 15 years, very fascinating. We thought we'd be able to put a stair lift in but there's not enough space at the top and bottom for it to be fitted.

Oh! Summer what are you like?

Seriously I hope you are feeling better soon. Have you had it checked out by the doc?
Discovered the ice skating on the other day by mistake, and have been trying to remember it has been on, but saw a bit of it today.

Please take care of yourself, and try not to sneeze when you are negotiating the stairs.

Ours is listed building so nor allowed to alter original features, OH has straightened the treads which worn but the depth of each is different, between 9 and 12 inches and I've only got short legs so we got a stair lift, OH won't use it although he's the disabled one with arterio sclerosis (spelling not sure) I just have the itis family(under control) but maybe getting lazy itis with the lift.

Hi May, ours used to be higgly until bro paid for them to be ripped out and put in straight. I think I'd rather fall down the higgly ones LOL.
